0:59 💥💥💥🤼‍♂️🥋💨 So the Karate guy has apparently never even ever HEARD OF this thing they call Grappling. 🥋 runs at 🩳 with hands down... I’m just baffled 😧 ok so say that the grappler instead did not instantly go for the takedown. How TF would that have even looked?? Whether being met with a takedown, or with strikes or even if 🩳 did the El Matador Ole’ gooblety gock the fact would still remain that 🥋 simply ran straight to him with... absolutely nothing. No kick or punch, just basically runs to him passively with zero attack. It’s almost as if 🥋 actually just WANTED to be taken down or instantly KO’d. Here’s what I think was secretly going through 🥋’s mind.... “This is my big opportunity to test my theory against the laws of Science and Biology. I do believe that one man can impregnate another man thru 🤔 .... ummmm unconventional means such as... (🌭 (_!_) 💦 🍩 ) and so on and so forth. And such forth & henceforth. Hidden in plain sight, disguised as a style vs style fight I will instead run straight to heem and get taken down. Once on the ground I will present my 🍩 to his 🍌 until he 💦💦💦 then in 9 months 👶🏼🍼 This is the only thing that makes any sense regarding how 🥋ran to 🩳 so passively. This HAS TO BE what happened here. I am the next Sherlock Holmes.

Plenty of BJJ guys lose to Karate / Strikers in MMA. If grappling is best then BJJ would win every time. They don't. Sometimes they attempt takedowns and never succeed. But perhaps against a karate guy who doesn't know how to defend takedowns, they can always win.

Went as expected. Notice he doesn't move the left arm, which was arm barred, post fight. I guarantee that elbow is broken. However, he still got up and followed the jiujiteiro after the fight. He still has two legs and another arm, which makes him dangerous. This is why i always teach my students the hierarchy of submissions: blood chokes, wind chokes, joint locks, pain. You can no longer fight if you're unconscious.

This is a good illustration of the effectiveness of Jiu Jitsu, though I bet there were some minimal rules like no eye gouging or biting, not that it would make a difference.

"No hay un arte marcial mejor que otro, todo depende de cada practicante", es una máxima que después de unos años de ver este video, cobra toda su importancia. La evolución que ha habido después del año 2000 en las artes marciales es impresionante. El aporte que ha hecho el BJJ es indiscutible. Lo importante es como decía Bruce: " ser agua..."

The karateka wasnt ready for that fight. He allowed the bjj guy to rush him and take him straight to the floor. From that moment he was done. He needed to defend himself from a standing position immediately he is attacked. He just stood there like a lemon.

Karate fighters usually train against other karate fighters. That's a valuable experience to have. I guess every martial art has it's own strengths and weaknesses.

I was in karate from age 5 to 16. I was young, stayed in trouble, and super dumb. I went into a BJJ gym back in 2005 to check it out. Ended up with a challege, some grown man threw me around the gym and absolutely beat my ass. I came in the next day asking to teach me how to actually fight and defend myself. They forgot all about the fiasco the day before, these people took me in and not only taught me proper technique, they also set me on a path to live a better, less violent life. I cannot rememeber the gym name, but i do know it was in Louisville and i had to have been the only white kid there 😂

Right at the start of the fight, the bjj guy was volunteering his head and neck to be hit. A proper striker would have easily knocked him out if not worse. It depends on how committed the karate guy was in the "no rules" fight. On the street this is certainly a bad idea, bad guys have no hesitation to mess you up real bad.

I think cranking the arm bar was a little bit of an emotional move by the BJJ guy. From my perspective, he was probably trying to take revenge on the Karate's guy attempt to gouge his eyes earlier in the match. I can see why he would be angry, but I think he took it a bit too far. It was already settled, there was no need to crank it.

@@FR-ty5vn BJJ's neck was open for at least 3 seconds. BJJ guy took a full second to realize that karate guy's hand was about to touch his throat and he reacted. He could be 18-30 years BJJ champion. One good solid guillotine and BJJ guy would have been napping.

@@Mr-Clark he wasn’t defending his neck because he was fighting a karate practitioner - technically, yes, but a lot harder than it looks - experienced Jiu jitsu guys are going to immediately chin down and protect the neck with the hands…
