so most likely you haven't seen the House Of Masks video where AJ talks to the maker of the see through mask so when they fitted the mask Corey was lets just say he was 210 lbs when he got the mask back he was 190 so thats why you got the chipmunk cheeks so that's why in the next video the mask has the black stitches in it and the concept of the mask was so that every time they went on stage he could change his face paint

This is just my opinion but ahig does have the most radio friendly songs from slipknot but also some of their heaviest with wherein lies continue and ahig (song) that breakdown/outro in sulfur psychosocial, this cold black and basically a death metal song at time with gematria talking about basically the war in afghanistan and iraq/us imperialism heavy shit and basically the only album with politics as an integral part

i was really into slipknot about 12-13 years ago, i even bought an og west german clown mask & tried to copy joeys mask but ever since they fired joey the band was done for me. idk why but as more time went by and i occasionaly checked them out (whenever there is a new album out, i listen to it but otherwise i dont listen to them anymore) for me slipknot lost all of its soul. they do pretty much everything that they stood against back then (ffs they had a balenciaga collection) now its just about the money. i mean they always said that they were brothers n shit but as soon as the money came in, they did everything to cash in, even throwing your own bandmembers (chris) under the bus. seeing how joeys life ended makes his firing even more sad. he made that band. he wrote songs, the infamous logo was his idea and he was one of the most influential metal drummers of the past 30/40 years. he didnt deserve to be fired via email ffs…. i mean its cool to cash in and make a ton of money but don‘t act like youre doing your own festival, a balenciaga collab, these stupid anniversary editions of albums without even remastering the old songs because of your „artistic vision“ and that clown shit. you’re not better than nickelback or limp bizkit. they also sold out but at least they were honest and told everyone that they were in it bc of the money. i think slipknot just had its time and has made some seriously good and influential music but it kinda feels like beating a dead horse now.
