Compared with studies in American universities, you can learn so much more, and challenge yourself to think, if you watch videos like this one on the internet. At an American university, it would be nonstop cant and totally one-sided. And people pay $90,000/year for that! There have to be alternatives going forward, like Hillsdale College or UAustin.

I like Lawrence but he talks too much. He could benefit from a class or book on active listening. He did the same thing when he interviewed cancelled climate scientist Judith Curry. I can't listen to this one anymore. I'm 45 minutes into the interview and there's no hope. It's not an interview, it's a monologue. So sad given Cormac died so soon after. 😞

To prove that quarks (subatomic particles) are more real while protons and neutrons (atomic particles) are less real, we need to establish a clear definition of what we mean by "real" and then provide evidence or logical arguments that support this claim. Let's approach this step by step. Definition of "real": For the purpose of this proof, we will define "real" as being more fundamental, indivisible, and closer to the underlying nature of reality. Proof: 1. Quarks are the fundamental building blocks of matter: - Protons and neutrons are composed of quarks. Protons consist of two up quarks and one down quark, while neutrons consist of one up quark and two down quarks. - Quarks are not known to have any substructure; they are considered to be elementary particles. - Therefore, quarks are more fundamental than protons and neutrons. 2. Quarks are indivisible: - Protons and neutrons can be divided into their constituent quarks through high-energy particle collisions. - However, there is no known way to divide quarks into smaller components. They are believed to be indivisible. - Therefore, quarks are indivisible, while protons and neutrons are divisible. 3. Quarks are closer to the underlying nature of reality: - The Standard Model of particle physics, which is our most comprehensive theory of the fundamental particles and forces, describes quarks as elementary particles that interact through the strong, weak, and electromagnetic forces. - Protons and neutrons, on the other hand, are composite particles that emerge from the interactions of quarks. - Therefore, quarks are closer to the underlying nature of reality as described by our most fundamental scientific theories. 4. Quarks exhibit more fundamental properties: - Quarks have intrinsic properties such as color charge, flavor, and spin, which determine how they interact with each other and with other particles. - Protons and neutrons derive their properties from the collective behavior of their constituent quarks. - Therefore, the properties of quarks are more fundamental than those of protons and neutrons. 5. Quarks are necessary for the existence of protons and neutrons: - Without quarks, protons and neutrons would not exist, as they are composed entirely of quarks. - However, quarks can exist independently of protons and neutrons, as demonstrated by the existence of other hadrons such as mesons, which are composed of one quark and one antiquark. - Therefore, quarks are necessary for the existence of protons and neutrons, but not vice versa. Conclusion: Based on the above arguments, we can conclude that quarks are more real than protons and neutrons. Quarks are more fundamental, indivisible, and closer to the underlying nature of reality as described by our most advanced scientific theories. They exhibit intrinsic properties that determine the behavior of composite particles like protons and neutrons, and they are necessary for the existence of these atomic particles. It is important to note that this proof relies on our current scientific understanding of particle physics and the nature of matter. As our knowledge advances, our understanding of what is "real" may evolve. However, based on the current evidence and theories, the argument for the greater reality of quarks compared to protons and neutrons is strong.

Interestingly, intellectuals first have to redefine "free will" before they can debunk it. If we define free will as the feeling of possible latitude of choice we have as phenomenal creatures - what it always meant - then free will is in no danger of being toppled. I think we're just looking at the manifestation of a drive that intellectuals have to supplant and vie for primacy in abstraction or abstract space. Free will was never more than it is, since what it is now is all it ever was. Nothing moved.

, , Giggles, your assertion that Mark wasn't written until 70 - CE is to fit the political agenda of the Jesus Seminar to explain away Resurrection and elevate Paul to the status of Messiah, The Gospel of Mark was composed between 37 and 4- CE, after the encounter of Peter with Cornelius described in Acts 10. The euangelion referred to in Mark 1:1 is Pilate's lost euangelion to Tiberius cited by Tertullian in Book V, Apology, The Gospel of Mark are the events before Resurrection captured by the intelligence services of the 10th Legion in a routine surveillance program after Jesus appeared above the Roman military horizon at His Baptism and change of command of John the Baptists followers. Mark 15:1 - 16:8 are the boundaries of the Roman testimony after Jesus was remanded to them for execution, The opening of the Gospel of Mark, "The Beginning of the euangelion" can be best understood as "what came before Mark 15: from the military records and Peter's testimony outlined in his confession in Act 10:34 - 43. At this conference, Cornelius conveyed the contents of Pilate's lost euangelion to Tiberius, which includes the Talking Cross of the covenant cutting ceremony between the Hebrew God and the centurions of the Italian Regiment, represented by Cornelius. Revelation is a literary portrait of the spiritual miasma that began to form over Jerusalem with the release of Barabbas and the crucifixion of Jesus as indicated by the agitation of the Spirit of God with the cloud formation that blotted out the sun from noon until His death, The clouds were a sign from God like the Key Bridge disaster conveyed through the Spirit of God, lamenting the deathe of Elohim the verb's only begotten son, Jesus of Nazareth, Messiah, The issue isn't whether Jesus is divine or not, but that His resurrection validates Israel's God Hypothesis, If Jesus wasn't divine before Resurrection, he surely was afterwards. And that's what the Jesus Seminar is trying to ignore. Barabbas was the ember of rebellion that the Zealots managed to fan into a full blown rebellion leading to the destruction of the Temple, the Whore of Babylon,. Revelation 13 is a portrait of the centurion in Mark 15:39, who supervised the crucifixion of Jesus and witness hHis last hurrah, The so-called Mark of the Beast, 666, was the death warrant for Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews , Centurions were a fusion of warrant officer and modern NCO and this centurion was a clone of all other centurions of the Republic, And all the centurions of the Republic were Pagan God Fearers before they ever heard of Moses and the Talking Cross converted all of centurions in the Legions to Pagan Christians by the time Tiberius proposed elevating Jesus to the Roman Pantheon, At the same time, of course, the social elite of Rome were converted to Christian Haters by the association of Christians to Tiberius and the rest is history

I love listening to so many intellectuals. But these two mumbling bumbling intellectualls, i just cant listen to another second. They both give me a headache. Its too bad because im sure they have something i can learn from. Just cant stand it anymore. Krauss just creeps me out and the other guy unfortunately suffers some thing i cannot even explain. I feel bad for even saying these things, but it is what it is. I’ll take Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins all day long before I ever listen to krauss again.

Quasi immortality seems very doable. probably the most likely futurist thing to actually work. Think about it, humanity as a species is already 100,000s of years old. Life is a few billion years old. That means direct descendants for billions of years. that is already more than immortal enough. Evolution in the old sense is no longer needed for humans. having generations, only harms us as a species. each generation forgetting the horrors of the last couple. Eventually human lifespans, will be quasi immortal. Sad most, if not all of us will miss it. but the humanity of the future has a chance to be much wiser.

Museums and these kinds of books are essential. Although I am not a university professor, I grew up reading the Book of Knowledge, Time-Life books (Which included "series like "Cities of the World" and "The World's Great Religions and my Dad's National Geographics in my walk-in closet when my parents thought I was sleeping. My son has some lifelong interests that he recalls finding in Doring-Kindersly books as a child. Who knows what kind of thinking they ultimately foster? Now, kids can access the world. I wonder if they are finding such excellent curated sources as we had??
