Thanks for the video, had the same issue in my 07 1500 where the ac condenser fan wouldn’t work unless driving. New problem popped up after installing new fan-it was noticeably louder than the original fan and ended up burning out. Seemed like it was getting too much power and totally fried the new fan motor. Burned out another replacement condenser fan and ended up replacing the TIPM (fuse box and circuit boards inside). New fan is blowing cold, but is also loud as hell and stays on for about 45 seconds when I turn off the AC button or turn off the air completely in the cab. Did your new fan blow louder than the original fan?
@MatthewBecker7
@MatthewBecker7 2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad it helped! I'm not sure if I noticed it blowing louder or not but I guess it's possible that an aftermarket fan could run louder.

You didn't have to pull the radiator out, it's WAY Easier to just take off the hood latch cross bar.

I need this in my 2007 jeep commander SO BAD. 😞 But I dont have the time to do this. Nor the tools. I believe i have cracked head gasket/gaskets. And have water on cylinders. Causeing it not to crank 😪 it has a new starter and battery is good.
@MatthewBecker7
@MatthewBecker7 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it could be the case. You can take out the spark plugs one at a time to see what cylinder has water in it. If issue is just the head gasket it can be changed while engine is till in the car but it’s a tough job unfortunately.

hi my friend, how did you remove the old sleeve?
@MatthewBecker7

I used a torch and heated the sleeve up along the inside and used a strong flat head and hammer to cut it out. It was really fast and did not damage. I watched a video online of a guy doing this you should be able to find it.

Can I ask the cost of LKQ motor?
@MatthewBecker7
@MatthewBecker7 2 жыл бұрын
We spent 1400 on eBay for the motor. be careful buying a used motor online sometimes it’s hard to be sure how many miles are on the motor. I believe LKQ will be more accurate though.

@@Blakethegoat well, the way I did so is probably not recommended. I looped a strapped around the top steel bar above the engine. This bar is mounted to the body on both sides so, it allowed me to pull up on the body only.

@@MatthewBecker7 why is not recommended? I watched both vids and that thing kicked ass. I don’t have one but was thinking of renting one for a day or to swap engines from one commander to another
@MatthewBecker7
@MatthewBecker7 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree! it worked out perfect doing it this way! I guess what I meaning is the cross bar I used to lift the body was definitely not meant for this but did the job. Maybe if you use a chain and find a couple spots to connect it would be safer. Yeah the forklift is nice, it would even be better if you rented a load all with forks that can be extended outwards, would make it easy to move the jeep side to side.

@MatthewBecker7
@MatthewBecker7 6 жыл бұрын
2003SaturnFan I am out out town from some time but could when I get back. These transmissions are pretty easy to do. There’s a drain plug at the bottom and a cap at the top. If you know the transmission isn’t leaking you can measure how much fluid come out and put the same amount back in.

DID YOU EVER SOLVE THE ISSUE.??? SHOULD THE PULLEYS HOLD THE PRESSURE?? IF NOT HOW MUCH PRESSURE LOST IS ACCEPTABLE???
@MatthewBecker7
@MatthewBecker7 7 жыл бұрын
I did not solve the problem yet I did find out about a different way to pressure test the two variable pistons. I did make a video on testing them but didn't upload it yet so if I get it uploaded I will tag you in this post. basically to test if the entire assembly and see if its working you should be applying air while its all together with the belt on. then you should be able to see if it will variate and hold its new position. As for this test I am not sure what is an acceptable pressure this test was to show another guy that works on these but he told me about testing a different way like i described above.
