Following the recipe exactly, the florets part of the tenderstems were okay, but the stalks were far too woody. Next time I will use much more garlic and also more soy sauce, but the stalks need to be cooked separately for far longer. Maybe boil just the stalks for 8 minutes, then add to the frying pan with the rest of the ingredients. Put it this way, overall the dish was not as horrible as I thought it was going to be. I'm not a lover of broccoli, anyway. Another recipe I saw added chilli flakes, so that is something else to try.

5mins may not be enough. Maybe 10. Depends how raw you prefer or fried.
