Quick question. Great tutorial by the way! Subscribed and saved. Question is: why Cineon Filmlog? Also, what's your advice if using Mac because usually I have to use Rec. 709-A or what is the best way for the colors to match the edit when exporting ?
@martinbue
@martinbue 3 ай бұрын
Cineon Filmlog is just a colorspace specific for Davinci, that makes all the changes you make translate properly

in my opinion and experience, using a Mac myself, Rec 709-A is the way to go and it shows perfectly when uploaded to KZfaq :-)

Is there a way, or going to be a way of making all the generated subjects move in some way.. ?
@martinbue
@martinbue 4 ай бұрын
hi, it really depends on the movement you are looking for. Simple x, y movement (no perspective change) can easily be achieved by adding a null, connect the object and animate with keyframes. More dynamic movement is not possible with this setup, but some AI software like Runway and Pika Studio, can add a little bit of movement, but wont be able to match it to the scene.

@@martinbue hi, thank you for your response, say you green screened some images, like I could do that in procreate, then use runway and then pop it in after effects with the footage, would that work?
@martinbue
@martinbue 4 ай бұрын
@@SelfcareSofie I've never tried that, but it should work. You might need to mask out the footage a bit and play with some curves to match the footage

Great video. What about film noise/grain on the added objects? It's difficult to see if it's noticeable on KZfaq but you would definitely see when viewed on a 40' screen the added elements don't have active noise/grain that the live footage will have? Any thoughts?

This is nothing new or groudbreaking. It was done for ages like set extension, matte painting. This so called AI method has only one difference. Instead of searching in google for the right grass asset or building you can search and apply directly in the editing app.

Well that’s exactly the point. For most people it saves you time and convenience, especially for beginners who might not have all the tools or skills to blend assets in a scene. Photoshop does this for you

Not really. AI does all the work of creating the images to be automatically blended into their surroundings taking into account perspective, distance, color, ect. and it looks legitimate. It takes a lot of time and fine tuning to do all of that by hand. If anyone’s ever tired to do it by hand before, they’ll understand.
