I don’t know if words can convey the depth of how they hurt me with Colin. From the moment I heard that they were going to turn Colin into a rake I knew that they ruined him. And ruined the entire story 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 (Colin had been taught, all his young life, that it was his duty as a gentleman to protect, care for, and defend the fairer sex.) Colin declaring that he is a true gentleman in season 1. [Means] As a gentlemen he considered himself worthy of veneration due to earn respect not handed it on a silver platter, his unearned entitlement had never warped his sense of moral conscience. He does not see women as decorative object or a prize to be won. 🥇 This is why Penelope loves him. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ I honestly won’t ever forgive the writers for ruining the character. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 When they took Colins, sweet innocence and naivety. They took something special from him. Because the way that Penelope loves, Colin is so innocent 😇 and pure. Having Violet do a scene saying how sensitive and different. Colin is. Doesn’t salvage the damage that they’ve done. You know what they could’ve done and said they could’ve showed us that he was this person. Instead of breaking the number one ☝️ visual media rule show and tell, don’t just tell. 🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏Colins desire to travel 🧳 is not to Rake across the continent 🌏having sex escapades, to fetishize it into his journal 📔 he travels for beauty for adventure architecture, culture and history because he’s a nerd 🧐 just like Penelope. The fact is, Colin was a different character. He was set up to be a different character. (TVShow Colin) why couldn’t he be the sweet Hufflepuff🦡. Because if he had feelings all along (I think he did and S2 had us believing he did) then he should have been increasingly unhinged by not hearing back from her. And worried about her. 2. This is a man who pledged to take care of her in season 2. Where is he? Instead he just goes off to be a slut in 17 cities? And doesn’t give two shits about a friend not writing him back? Just goes and fucks some more sex workers and Countesses? Let me write about it in my journals too! 3. His apology was glib and unworthy of Penelope and their friendship. They made it about Penelope thinking she is unworthy not Colin being a drunk ass and insulting her to eligible bachelors/her chances on the marriage mart. laughing 😆with men at Penelope’s expense. 4.Colin comes back does the same whoring about the entire time he is teaching Penelope lessons (for weeks apparently) and then kisses her because he feels sorry for her. Ugh that is so gross to me. 5.Then because he is supposedly so despondent over Pen having a suitor, he goes back to fuck some sex workers again. 6.He only gets up enough courage to tell Penelope how he feels once he knows she is getting proposed to. Like he couldn’t call on her, not even once, or bribe her maid again, to see her and explain how he feels. Instead it’s poor me me me me…. I keep asking myself why I should want ShondaColin with Penelope. She deserves sooo much better than him. Ugh… 😣 🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦 The worst part is Lord Debling by comparison, a truly secure man 🧍‍♂️ who stands for his own conviction. Who is truly his own unapology self no matter. How society snares at him. And think him odd. He is who he wants to be. You can actually respect him. And admire him. For a man who stands on his own conviction. That’s truly a man.

i think from the perspective of a fan who watched the first part countless times: that Colin first is noble man bored and as u said a nerd adventurer.Pen has just read his journal accidentally he's man bound to have sex along his travels he could have written other things she only read it to give meaning to their kiss for later. -two he views her as his friend we already acknowledged that on s2 but he had to go on his own self-discovery adventure he even said that only a few been replying to his letters doesn't mean he'll come back for them while he's on Europe let me tell u it sure bothered him & even said he missed her in his own selfish deranged way -Three he did apologize and I'm sure he meant it as when he tailed her when he saw her leaving the ball he was worried & wanted deep down to know why he's only good friend was avoiding him i think it broke him that she thought badly of him -Four i know it's messed up for Pen to beg for that kiss but it was on the book even worst but he always loved her and never knew how deep so when he kissed her it finally pushed him enough to discover the real meaning of what he truly feels that is Love of course, when he kissed he felt complete that all he's been searching for these years was just in front of him sure it took him a week on the season but i guess he needed to grovel a bit & confirm his feelings to himself -Five yes he tried to fuck some whores i quote tried bc again on my opinion he just comes back then helps his Pen to flirt with other men in order to wed them he thought that Pen is not interested in him especially when he sees her happy with Lord Deblin he bottles up his feelings but in vain as his love towards her is more potent than he'd believed -Six again lord Deblin does not love her & will leave her and for a romantic person as pen i really think Polin were meant for each other as he got the courage of mad lover to sabotage her proposal & finally free himself of the torture of seeing his Pen with another it was like bomb to discover she was the love of his life all along under his nose -Seven i agree on one thing that they did him dirty for that awful corny flirt scenes but it showcases how much he wants to be into society to be perfect in a sense but when he sees than what the world wishes him to be doesn't matter he goes courageously to fight for what holds genuine meaning to his life which is our Pen yet again it's just my opinion .

Gosh, don't want to sound rude, but you're rather harsh towards him. Firstly, he was never intended to be a virgin (neither he was in the books), and while I agree that him going to the brothel was unnecessary, I understand why writers did it. For him true intimacy is not only sharing a bed, but also thoughts and feelings and that's what he writes in his diary. He may easily enjoy sex (and there should be nothing bad about it), but he wants to feel emotionally connected with the one he shares bed with. Writers never took anything from him. He is still sweet and kind, but he only shows his true self with Penelope. He loves travelling, he loves writing, Penelope reading the passage about women was only to show us how he doesn't feel any connection with these women. I don't understand some of your points at all. 1) He clearly tells Pen in 3x01 that he misses her and we can clearly see that he was bothered by her not answering to him. I would even say that he is hurt, because he didn't write much to his family, but wrote to her only to get no answer at all. 2) He doesn't owe her anything. By that I mean that as long they are not together he can have sex with anyone. But him not caring about her, are you serious? He literally ends conversation with other men just to go after her, apologizes to her the very next morning. But do you even understand why he went to a brothel in 3x02? Cause Pen saw right through him. Wrote about him being fake which lead to him wanting to have not one, but two women and be like "Oh, yeah, LW doesn't know me, I'm cool, I'm a man". We don't know how many times he went to the brothel, but does it really matter? The whole episode 2 even before their kiss shows us that he has feelings to her which he can't yet understand. I would say that after their kiss he couldn't think about anyone else, in episode 4 he goes to the brothel only to hate being there, he is not participating at all and looking anywhere but these 2 women. And oh, god, it took him so long to confess for many reasons. Penelope never gave him a sign that she had feelings for him. You may say "How could he not know she has been in love with him this whole time?" Easily. He never knew Penelope who wasn't in love with him. She fell for him the minute she saw him. She runs away after their kiss, tells him that nothing of this sort will ever happen again and their lessons need to end and she clearly enjoys being with Debling at the ball in 3x03 and in library in 3x04. Colin thought that she didn't reciprocate his feelings. That is why in the carriage he feels ashamed when she says "But, Colin, we are friends"and tries to apologise.

They dreamed of their future together they told each other it was them seeing what they wanted it wasn't meant to be Delena it was meant to be STELENA! They are SOULMATES I only stopped watching cuz I couldn't handle them apart, and her with Damon, it just feels wrong... I love Caroline but she was meant for Klaus, Bonnie for Jeremy, Davina for Kol, and Elena for Stefan it's been said too many times to not understand "It's Stefan, it'll always be Stefan." Damon only got Elena from the stupid "sire bond" not naturally like Stefan even when he was under control of Klaus he loved her, Damon didn't care about how Elena felt, or how she never wanted to be a vampire. Stefan always listened and figured out what was best with her not what he thought for her, without her input at all like Damon did. I get that Nina and Ian dated irl but fan service is really stupid sometimes.
