You need to stick a coin under either the left or right side. Your escapement ticks aren't even which means ur pendulum is loosing energy and has the potential to lose track if time or stop swinging altogether.

I never got very good at this game but I love it... always had to play it at least a few times when I went over to the late lamented Pinball Wizard in Pelham, NH. In some ways Firepower seems almost like the minimal, prototypical case of what most solid-state pinballs after it would be like. It's not, by far, the first pin to have multiball, but it is (I think) the first solid-state multiball and the one that sort of established it as a must-have rather than an occasional gimmick; it also introduced player-controlled lane change for the rollover lanes. I see it as the moment when solid-state pinball started to break away from designs that resembled electromechanical games.

Very little going on. Very hard to shoot all the top targets. Launching the ball produces nothing up top, usually. Massive hole down the middle. Amazing lack of value compared to modern games. Heh, I owned Spin Out -- of this era -- but still they all sucked.
@davideisemann7130
@davideisemann7130 5 жыл бұрын
@@FloydMaxwell that's you're own opinion and it should be taken only as that. I like the old E.ms from the 70s when the 2" flippers were a thing of the past. The ss era came in and E.ms became obsolete! But they had a simple rule set and lots of amazing features not to mention them great chimes unlike ss machines some you can't figure out the rule set and many are so fast it's hard to figure out what's going on but all in all pinball is a good pastime .just my own opinion
@FloydMaxwell
@FloydMaxwell 5 жыл бұрын
You needed to say that my opinion was my opinion? I owned a 70s non-digital pin. Loved it. But it is one of the very few from the era I loved. And they don't stand up to modern pins. Watch how they are played by world class players in a tournament -- not uncommon to see house balls. Not. Fun.

@@FloydMaxwell yea the old infamous house balls. That's the first time I heard that since my father said 45 years ago . I would like to see a tournament I guess you gotta be pretty damn good to compete. But anyway don't take my comment as an insult

I have one of these beauties and it is one of the most underated games EVER...its addictive, fun , challenging and brilliant looking...I have been trying to get plastics for this game for 2 years...mine is in mint shape also, except for the one center plastic...It seems there was many of these in France, sold by a good distributor, so Europe seems to be more popular for these... I have played many games,even have been to the pinball hall of fame in vegas, twice and this game is right up there
