Πόσο συγκλονιστικό βίντεο.... Όταν το είδα πρώτη φορά πριν από πολλά χρόνια, ποτέ μου δεν πίστευα ότι θα υπάρξει εποχή οπού θα το ζήσω κι εγώ , από την πλευρά του γιού... Ο πατέρας μου βρίσκεται στην τρίτη ηλικία και ύστερα από τον χαμό του αδελφού μου πριν τρία χρόνια , παρουσιάζει δυστυχώς έντονη κατάθλιψη και άνοια.... Πονάει πολύ να βλέπεις έναν άνθρωπο που εσφιζε από κέφι και ζωή να βρίσκεται σε αυτή την κατάσταση...😢

Πάντα είχα πολύ καλή σχεση με τον πατέρα μου. Δεν ξέρω τι θα έκανα χωρίς αυτον. Αυτο το βίντεο περιγράφει τον αδιάσπαστο δεσμό της πατρικής αγάπης μέσα σε μολις μερικά λεπτά... 🥺🥺❤️❤️

I speak first hand of both of my parents who suffered through dementia before they passed. The son expresses anger at his innocent father as a little boy might do. He is angry mostly at himself for being angry at his father, he is angry at his father for his incapacity to be the father he once was, he's angry at the world for it's indifference, and he is angry at God for the painfully slow death he and his father must endure. Finally when the son reaches my age and his father is gone he will think of his father every day and mourn him daily.

Όταν το είχα δει νέος μου φάνηκε πολύ ενδιαφέρον. Τώρα που έχω ένα παιδί 2,5 ετων και γονείς μεγάλους, μου φάνηκε πολύ βαθύ και πολύ συγκινητικό.

To have had a father that loved his son like the father in this short but powerful movie would have meant the world to me. It made me cry to see a father who loved his son despite his son’s questioning. I had a father that didn’t care, who made me feel like an idiot every chance he had. I would have been a different person had my father shown just a bit of love or gave me a simple hug. I have sought that kind of love all of my life. The past 77 years I’ve searched for just a simple hug from a loving man.

The priest mentioned this in the mass during the homily, and while he was talking about it it reminded me of GOD. Whenever we ask him favours or questions, he always responds with utmost kindness and purity. And when he returns the favour to us in due time, we get mad and lose our patience sometimes. This shows that we always need to keep our patience steady as much as possible. This almost made me cry. MAY GOD BE WITH US ALL !!! ( ˘ ³˘)♥

My mother used to tell me as my parents age, they regress to infancy. I never had the same patience as my parents showed me, and I regret it to this day. Even if I could go back and tell myself this lesson, I don't think I had the wisdom to heed my own advice. Only a few are lucky to be this wise; the rest of us suffer in regret.

For your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully. And be humble with them out of mercy, and pray, “My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me when I was young.” (Quran: 17: 23-24)

PAVLOV CONDITIONING The 3-year-old son kept repeating his question to his father, because he got a hug from his father every time he asked. After 21 hugs, the young son felt fulfilled. The same behavioral modification can be done with a piece of candy, a toy, a playful action or any other thing that pleases the child.

When I watched this 10 years ago I was alone studying 2nd year in dormitory. I had a beef with my father and I cried watching this video. But now after I worked for 6 years, I have seen so many that wasted my time and efforts, and encountered too much people who are too ignorant to be patient with. I felt nothing special watching this video again. What the world has turned me into.
