To have had a father that loved his son like the father in this short but powerful movie would have meant the world to me. It made me cry to see a father who loved his son despite his son’s questioning. I had a father that didn’t care, who made me feel like an idiot every chance he had. I would have been a different person had my father shown just a bit of love or gave me a simple hug. I have sought that kind of love all of my life. The past 77 years I’ve searched for just a simple hug from a loving man.

This made me cry. My mother has dementia, and repeats questions constantly. At times, it is hard to hold on to patience. Thank you for putting me in my place.

I don`t have father....yet either no memory at all...........Because of he was past away as soon as I born.....after that my mom who also past three years ago....she never ever get remarry with anyone.....so my life has past more than 50 years without FATHER in which maybe sad however was my fate....After wacthed this video simply made me tears and moved....Wishing had such beautiful affection from father...Don`t get mad to children who you were ....Don`t yelling to old people who you will be............

This is such a beautiful story and the message is so simple: love is patient and love is kind!

When I watched this 10 years ago I was alone studying 2nd year in dormitory. I had a beef with my father and I cried watching this video. But now after I worked for 6 years, I have seen so many that wasted my time and efforts, and encountered too much people who are too ignorant to be patient with. I felt nothing special watching this video again. What the world has turned me into.

My mother used to tell me as my parents age, they regress to infancy. I never had the same patience as my parents showed me, and I regret it to this day. Even if I could go back and tell myself this lesson, I don't think I had the wisdom to heed my own advice. Only a few are lucky to be this wise; the rest of us suffer in regret.

I hope the person who made this video realises how many lives he's changed and how many people who have watched this video have gone on to hug their father immediately after watching this. thank you.

I loved my father very much and I know he loved me and my siblings, but he never showed it outwardly. Only when my mother passed away, did he start to show that true love. He would hug and kiss us, something he seldom do when we were younger. He's been gone for 10 years now and I miss him very much. This video is quite emotional and I'm trying not to cry, but I can't stop thinking of him as I watch this lovely piece of work. GOD BLESS!!!! you Dad. I love you.

My father may not have much time to live. I get irritated with him about the smallest things all the time. My dad doesn't show emotion at all, so its hard to tell what's really going through his head.
