Angel and you are made for each other. She is such a sweet dog and companion. Pets add so much love and joy to our lives. I can’t believe it’s been 8 years 💕

Hi Dale I watch your videos all the time but don,t make many comments , but today i got a question for you , the turnip that we buy for eating always is hard to cook and they all have hard things or sticks ( we call it ) in them. Why is it like that , we could always get beautiful turnip in the fall that you could scrap with a spoon or knife and it was moist but that was years ago , not anymore , take care , happy gardening , God Bless
@DaleCalderCampobello3 күн бұрын
I don’t understand that either. It doesn’t happen all the time here but every once in a while, you get one you could boil it forever and it’s still hard as a rock.

Hi Dale, your garden is ahead of our New Hampshire gardens on the farm. Looking great! I am growing a lot of veggies in containers this year as well a in ground. Limited on sunlight in the woods, so I can place pots accordingly. Someday I hope to have a larger green house like yours. Really makes a difference. Thanks for the tour ~ Diane
@DaleCalderCampobello5 күн бұрын
Thank you Diane . The new raised bed and container garden in front of the house is doing better than any that I've had before . Same issue here too much woods but this location gets full sun all day wish I had done this years ago. No gardener ever had a greenhouse that was large enough. LOL Mine is a hoop house which I think is the least expensive way to go. I suspect that the plastic will need to be replaced next year but that isn't too expensive.

Evening, Dale - Everything looks to be off to another good start. Love the volunteer rutabagas! I think I say it every year; but - the winter squash & pumpkins are always my favorites. The "Buttercup" variety is one that I especially enjoy. They keep well, too. It's good to hear your voice while taking us on your rounds, and seeing precious Angel keeping sentry duty is delightful. I'm hoping your "Girls" did okay through last weeks terrible heatwave? They are not "Built" for the high temps, and I understand that they "Pant" if they get too hot just as Angel would? Maybe I've missed you saying, but will you have a plot going over at the Senior Community this year also? I have always enjoyed those little trips over there and seeing what the other residents have growing. Thank you for the tour & take good care...
@DaleCalderCampobello6 күн бұрын
My favourite is the winter squash also and probably buttercup is my favourite squash. Yes, I have my plot up at the community garden. I haven’t done any video up there yet but things are starting to come along so probably in the next video I will do a trip up there. A local lady here has started a wonderful project at the school. A lot of the middle school children are growing a huge garden out in front of the school, and they are going to donate the produce to the food bank.
@DaleCalderCampobello6 күн бұрын
All of the girls seem to have come through the heat wave without any issues. Must’ve been really hot in the chicken coop that night though.
