Stripped was the 1st song I heard that got me into Depeche Mode. Their live version on the 101 concert album is amazing. I'm usually into guitar based rock n roll but Depeche Mode are a fine example of electronic music done right with good song writing. Their Violator album is still one of my favourite albums of all time.

Dave is his authentic self and if he wants to talk then he talks. If he's not for you then that's fine. He does his thing, there are thousands of others who do theirs.

90s Depeche was edgier and had some guitars in lots of songs. "I Feel You" stands out.

just check out I Feel You (1993), Never Let Me Down Again (1987), World In My Eyes (1990), Strangelove (1987) or Black Celebration (1986) ... and you will know why some people like it.

@@thadonis. Lol we're doing a test live stream in a few minutes in preparation for it. I will put a poll asking for best times and days. Dave is in a band that plays a lot during the summer so we need to come to some sort of a compromise if we all can. Look for that poll in the next day or so!

I liked Depeche Mode a bit in the eighties. That tune Enjoy The Silence (Dave prob heard that one) was the main song I knew and I did a cover on KZfaq of that one. Here's one for Dave to check from the Michael Schenker Group which features Slash and vocals from Erik Gronwall from Skid Row. Quality Guitar solos, throughout the tune and slammin drums which Dave should dig. The tune is brand new cover of the UFO's Mother Mary kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJ9kech0yNzRopc.html

Thanks for the A7X reactions! if Dave wants to see more Brooks Wackerman, you can react to Exist and Mattel (use the lyric video not the barbie one lol) More insanity try Save Me from the Nightmare album Older greats are MIA, Strength of the World, and Chapter Four

Haven't seen Creature Features. This tune was cool. It did have a movie/cartoon score vibe. I think an official video would work well with this. Here's one that was just released today with very nice keywork, vocals and drums from Nick D'virgilio for Dave to check from the band, Big Big Train. This one has nice changes and harmonies. It's the tune, Last Eleven kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sKx-rc-c1bPIhI0.html

Great song! very accomplished musicians and great arrangment. Speaking of sounding like the eighties, here's one for Dave from Alex Rudi Pell that sounds very vintage. Good guitar tone and anthemic chorus. It's the tune, Hells On Fire, off his latest album kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rslopMp1rZzSYWg.html

I had a flashback to a little thought that popped into my brain a few years ago with this song: ‘Link it to the world, link it to yourself’; We all know that Elon Musk wanted to put implants into *new born* babies with his Neuralink... Matt even said himself, way back, that New Born is something about humanity merging with robotics and technology and people losing individualism ( “Soulless is everywhere” ). And the lyrics “I’m drifting away from you”, I was thinking that means ‘drifting away’ from humanity, since you’re not able to think, speak or do as you freely wish - you’ve become a ‘drone’ (ba-dum-tssh. Reference intended). Likely completely unrelated. Anyway, thought you might like that one, Shecky 😅
