Also, sellers using third party design elements can not claim copyright to their designs. Even if it is a completely original design you create using 3rd party elements from Canva, CF and Kittl. So how do you protect your designs after reporting to Etsy and they counter?

how do i keep the white but get rid of it from the background? I still want it on the text as what but not anywhere else. Would a standard background remover work the best?

That means almost half of people who had shop suspensions did NOTHING wrong that's insane.

Even worse on tiktok shop they are shutting them down and keeping their money

GOT MY SHOP BACK!!!! Christina, I love your videos and your vibe, keep up the awesome work you do!! On another note, (I hope you read this), I opened a second Etsy shop in March, paid the new fees, created the dummy listing, deleted the dummy listing, entered my LLC information, and went back to working on my original shop. Yes, I used a different email address and different browser, and this shop was going to be for digital products instead of the handmade products on my original shop. After one week I checked in on my second shop to add a logo and a banner and it had been suspended. I appealed the suspension and did receive an email from "Kuldeep" immediately, stating they could not reinstate my shop and pointed to Etsy's Payment Policies. I was very confused since I had the banking information in place and the $15 had been deducted from that bank account. I did not see any other balances, positive or negative. After researching shop suspensions, I came across some advice on how to check to see if you have "hidden balances". The poster suggested going to Close Your Shop and click the button, so I did. A popup read "Before you can close your shop, you have to pay your balance of...mine was 0.20 cents. Which was obviously the listing fee from the dummy listing. I paid the 0.20 cents and did not continue to close the shop. I'm not sure why the 0.20 cents wasn't deducted from the same account that the $15 new shop fee was deducted from. That was just to see if there were any hidden fees. So, I appealed again, and again, and again, each time the two-week mark was up and the system allowed for another appeal. Four appeals, no response, crickets. And then, yesterday morning I watched this video, one hour after you posted it. You mentioned that someone had commented on Ety's LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. So, I did just that! Two hours after my LinkedIn post I got this response "We’re sorry that you’re having this difficulty! We’re looking into this and our member service team will reach out to you directly. " I messaged back "Thank you for your assistance". An hour after that, I went into my suspended shop and saw that I could appeal again, this time the appeal format was a little different than the first four, so I submitted an appeal, again. Here it is less than 24 hours after your video and I just received an email from Etsy stating they have reviewed my appeal/shop and see that the suspension was made in error. And......I have my shop back!!!! I am writing this for the brand-new shops that get suspended for no reason. I'm sure many existing shops get suspended for other reasons, so I cannot speak on that. I could have gone on just fine without a second Etsy shop and solely focused on my original, handmade, shop. The reason I continued to fight for reinstatement is that I was very stressed that they would take down my other shop because of this permanent suspension and that it was the same LLC, so they could easily see the connection. Walking on eggshells in the land of Etsy can be a little bit much when you are trying to focus on growing your shop. I hope this information helps others navigate the process. I couldn't have done it without your information, Christina. Thank you!!

Christina, Thank you so much for taking the time to put this information together and publish it. But as effective as your help may be, it only focuses on the symptoms and not the problem, Etsy practices. If Etsy can shut me down for using an AI mockup because it doesn't reflect reality, then why can Etsy use the same AI technology to incorrectly flag my products. They want me to us a real photo of a real product. I want them to use a real human to determine if there is a real policy violation. I am willing to work with Etsy in good faith to follow their policies. They should be willing to work with me to weed out products that in their opinion violate their policy. They should identify the listing and the problem and notify me to the policy violation in question. AutoBot suspensions are not acceptable. The best way to deal with this is two-fold. Keep working with Etsy. And have multiple platforms in case of permanent suspension.

Im new on etsy, just recently opened my pod account. I put just 1 listing for my friend to buy a gift for his husband and it was with his business logo. It is stupid that etsy immediately suspended my account. Not even published it , listing was draft and i was working on it. Etsy needs a good competitor to make things better..

I've commented on a few other e-commerce advisor channels that this sort of thing is really giving me pause on getting into selling POD on Etsy etc. I'm really hoping they improve seller support soon and/or make sure their policies are clearly stated, and IDK maybe streamlined so people can at least comply with say copyright complaints rather than losing their entire shop.

But it isn’t because it’s on a sale, and everbee doesn’t take this into account

I just sent mails multiple times addressing the fact that i did nothing wrong but they just banned my account by rejecting my request for removing the account suspension

I am having the same problem, except I sell editable templates that are editable in canva. So how are you to get PNG files to be easily editable for a customer? I have been stuck on this for so long and cannot figure it out. Turning the file to white still does not make a color box pop up to where a customer would EASILY be able to figure out how to change the color. I do not want them to have to use duotone to color edit themself - as they would complain about it not being "easy". Please help! Canva has made this aspect so frustrating

There is a new app in Canva called FontFrame that makes it easier to put images inside text.
