My father was a Weapons Company Sgt, 1st Marine Division, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines...in Korea. 1952-1956 He was proud to see his old unit still kicking ass in Iraq ! Coincidentally, his last week on Earth in November 2015, he was in ICU from a previous heart attack....I told the attending RN (a pretty big guy), Don't let that old salty Marine give you a hard time. The RN replied ..."I was in the Corps in Iraq just a few years ago. I'll take care of your Dad...He's my Brother!" My Dad's eyes lit up and even with 50+ years age difference, they instantly connected. We did lose him to another heart attack later that week, but I'm very glad he was able to spend some time in his last few days with a fellow Marine. - Semper Fi
