I was a kid when the first show aired, we had only three channels, ABC, CBS and NBC, so you can understand it was a big thrill for a quality show geared for kids my age at that time, my parents loved the show too...

Frankenstein used to scare me to the point of horrible nightmares and absolute panic fits thinking he was around every corner. I was only 5 or 6 and I still remember the sheer terror. Being the youngest of 6 kids my siblings and parents sat down with me to watch The Munsters. My fear immediately vanished and I became a big fan. The nightmares and fear disappeared. Thank you Fred Gwynn!
