Super helpful. My sons cake is a big 12 inch on the bottom and I was debating not cutting it to fill to be safe. This gave me the tips to try it.

If I'm using buttercream only between the layers, then can I fill the well with buttercream only? I'm working with small cakes but have had cake bulges everytime

Great Question! Yes, fill the well with buttercream!

Why the wafer paper going melt down when put on the icing after few houres
@ArtIsInCakes2 жыл бұрын
Wafer paper melts in high humidity. It might not be the icing, but maybe the environment where the cake is stored.

Hmmmm....I'm not quite sure what you mean by 3d dress mold. But I do think that any dress you create will be BEAUTIFUL painted with Poppy Paints.

I overworked my first batch I ever made today.....had to drain it, reheat it, and walk it like toffee....saved it too. OMG. So frustrating. I have learned you have to be patient and gentle working with chocolate....learned it all today! LOL. XO

It's so easy to over do it. I have zero patience. And I should know better, lol! It takes 10 times longer to fix it. I'm so glad you were able to save it!! xo

Is ur icing thick to do the dog fur?
@ArtIsInCakes2 жыл бұрын
It is! Thick enough to hold shape, but not so thick that it hurts my hand to squeeze. :)

So i tired this and i have no intention dipping it in candy and after a while my apples started squeezing out red sap.... Is it still going to be good to eat later down the road?
@ArtIsInCakes3 жыл бұрын
It will! You've removed the protective wax, so you'll want to seal that apple as soon as possible with candy coating.

And if you wanna get away the pesticides under the wax, you need to give a nice Natriumbicarbonate Bath for the apple for 10 Minutes.

Hi! I tried this but my paramount crystals leave bumps in the chocolate! 😭 I’ve been mixing for 5 minutes and they don’t seem to melt! Am I doing something wrong?
@ArtIsInCakes2 жыл бұрын
I'm so late, this one slipped into the filter. If you are still struggling, you can melt the paramount in a separate bowl in the microwave, then pour it into your chocolate. :)

Can we use this wafer paper in whipped cream cakes?
@ArtIsInCakes4 жыл бұрын
You would need to apply right before serving. Whipped Cream is water based and has the potential of making wafer paper wilted and/or mushy over time!
@PigPredator4 жыл бұрын
thank you for this detailed video, would you say red colorong macarons also require time to get darker? if yes how to do that without compromising the batter. Macaron batter left out for more than 30 mins tends to be overmixed or unusable
@ArtIsInCakes2 жыл бұрын
Yes, correct. The red does darken...but they will darken as they rest and form the skin.

It is very pretty and easy to make As here we use wire in all flowers so don’t you think it’s a big issue to remove all flowers before cutting the cake for eating then it will not look good as it was with flowers.
@ArtIsInCakes2 жыл бұрын
Not at all. Usually the flowers are removed as the cake is served, and often displayed on the plates.
@lgaines40864 жыл бұрын
Beautiful! What would you use to attach the flowers to a real fondant cake? Buttercream?
@ArtIsInCakes4 жыл бұрын
For Fondant Cakes, Edible Glue! artisincakes.com/products/dab-n-hold-%E2%84%A2-edible-glue For Buttercream Cakes, I would use toothpicks or wire to keep them in place.
