I remember some years ago, a reporter, asking a German official, about the commitment of the German army, his reply was, the world does not need reminding of the commitment and quality of the German armed forces. My father served in WW2 (D-DAY +6) saw action at caen and market garden, had respect for for the German soldier, he said they were well trained and well equipped, deadly with mortas, God bless ya Dad RIP.
