Great video and fantastic nature reserve, the mere hide is a fantastic place to film and photograph kingfishers. We had a bittern low flying over us as we walked along the riverbank.

Thanks. Agree great reserve but never had a great deal of success with the Kingfishers. Visited a few times to see the Bearded Tits but always too windy. Cheers Keith

Unfortunately not. They kept checking it out but wouldn’t move in. Maybe next year.

Nice review, wish you had said more about the audio or not added background music so I could have made my own judgement, image quality looks ace. thanks
@KGsPhotographyАй бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. Good point made. I have the camera out in the garden watching the hedgehogs when they come in to feed the audio is good enough to pick up the crunching quite clearly as they eat the food. Cheers Keith

having had and used both the EF 1.4x and EF 2.0x, I must say I was happier with the 1.4x version. Just little extension of the telephoto while preserving the sharpness and not taking a big hit on the aperture. Since I have converted over to the R series cameras, I am building my RF collection. Probably will trade my EF 100-400 for the RF 100-500 and later pick up the RF 1.4x.
@KGsPhotographyАй бұрын
Thanks for the feedback I think you have it spot on re the difference between the converters. Your route to the 100-500 and 1.4x is exactly the same as mine and I have no regrets. Thanks Keith

See short eared owls where I live and Barn owls only thing i's it's one or the other either the short eared owls are hunting or Barn owls are there never seen them both on the same day really enjoyed your Video most important and true thing you said Patience is key 👍
@KGsPhotographyАй бұрын
Thank you. SEOs seem to be sticking around this year as they have normally gone by now. We have both locally which is unusual.
@JahfriendАй бұрын
@@KGsPhotography Hi thankyou well you have just answered my query I think they have gone then possibly and that's why I have only been seeing the Barn Owls recently at dusk overcast days because before I saw the short eared owls eveytime hunting. Do you know where they go abroad in the summer out off interest I wasn't aware they leave the UK ? See alot off Marsh Harriers where I go also but no Kites 👍
@KGsPhotographyАй бұрын
@@Jahfriend no expert but I assume they head north for cooler climate. That probably why they are sticking around as the weather has not really warmed up.
