@burntchurch I have had som fat tire. It was pretty good. I favor the porters and the stouts the most but I also love moosehead. I will generally follow those same types when I brew my own

We have 55 chicks I have 2 hens that went broody. An Easter egger and a Rhode Island Red. We had Rhode Island Red rooster. Hope all is well across the ridge

@@TurnRocks nice. We recently had 2 nights of heavy predation on the adult chickens and lost pretty much all and the couple that are left won't go in the coop so it's just a matter of time. Things to fix for sure. I will be keeping a couple roosters from the babies so we can hatch some out this coming year

@@therusticcaveman sorry to hear that. 3 weeks ago we lost 11 in one week. It was grey fox. I hadn’t seen one in years. 2009 in Beallsville Monroe county Ohio where I grew up was the last grey fox I seen. Since moving here in 2021 I’ve seen several and wild pigs and bobcat. All kinds of things that love to eat chicken.

@@TurnRocks I am fairly sure it was a raccoon and a coyote or fox as well. We cot them all here. Only seen 1 boar on trail cams but several bobcats. Really wishing I had a night scope already to solve the problem.

Incredible place! Worth the drive especially if you have time during a Hocking Hills visit. The group that has installed rail trail bridges and organizes events deserves a ton of praise. Lots of history here. The town cemetery is a short distance to the south from the road.

No but there used to be a mill there. Great place for salmon steelhead and trout. Used to be my main fishing river

Just a simple syrup. 1:1 cane sugar an water. I'd it was a more established hive with some reserves they wouldn't need it as much.

Monday I was diagnosed with spotted Rocky mountain fever to clinch the tick bite trifecta. He is looking like he picked up Lyme. Probably not get him into urgent care till Monday... picked up the bees Monday eve, chicks came wed morning and I moved the bees to the hive wed afternoon. Hell of a week so far

I lost several but I put it down to my block of absentee time as the primary factor. Glad you got some traction. I will be doing a video soon on permetherin. Hadn't treated my clothes yet this year and that's why I got the tick bite

My wife got me my cooling towel I didnt think I would like it but I carry it everwhere in the summer time I wet it with my drinking water and hang it around my neck and it seems to help alot

8 survivors currently. Guessing I will have mortality of 10% for these chicks to 12 weeks. 50% will be fryers. So hoping to go into winter with 20 to 22 hens and a couple roosters.
