Can we do this while the HPFP is on the car? Or should it be removed?

I have this issue a lot on my Audi as I am running on E 85. Do you connect to a 12 volt car battery? does it matter where plus and minus connects?
@themanleygarage4 күн бұрын
Yeah. 12v to the battery direction does not matter. You could be extra cautious if you’re worried about it, and grab the wiring diagram from ERWIN online with a day use account and download every document available for your specific vehicle.

Hi! I have an AUDI S4 2009 in which I replaced the clutch plates and renovated the mechatronics. The phenomenon is that when you put it in D or R from a stationary position, the gearbox hits hard, but only when the oil warms up. I adapted the clutch, but only drove 1-2 kilometers with the car. is it possible that I should drive the car 100-200 kilometers to learn it? thanks!

Absolutely.

@@themanleygarage I drove 107 kilometers with it, but it was worse than it was. now from 2nd to 1st, if I go to D it says P17D7 Multifunction error (Reverse off and only 1-3-5-7 speed) and if I put it in D or R from a standstill it does the same thing.

Hello! Im troubleshooting my friends tuned C63 that cuts all power on full throttle, it sets one code Quantity control valve bank 2 - Short circuit to positive. This is the control valve on one of the hp pump. Have you ever heard of this? He is running Spool performance pumps.
@themanleygarage18 күн бұрын
Yeah, if the delivered pressure is too high above, or too low below specified parameters, the ECU will shut the throttle and put the car into limp mode. Could be a calibration error, fuel delivery to the pump not functioning correctly (I.E. clogged filter, weak low pressure pump), or a high pressure pump not performing as designed.
@nedlles12318 күн бұрын
@@themanleygarage Yes I found the problem. It was the spool FX-150 hpfp failing. It droped 30-40 bar suddenly on wot. Replaced it with a new 170 and now the car is working fine

If one bearing was bad, the other bearing has just as much run time on it. You were already in there you should’ve replaced it. I know the reason you didn’t was because you did not have the spine tool for the clutch pulley. I think you should’ve just at the end of the day bought that tool and then you would’ve had a complete rebuild, including installing a new copper slip ring. . Thanks for the video.
@themanleygarage2 ай бұрын
Agree 100% but… I needed it back up and running time now, and didn’t have the puller on hand. I’ll definitely grab the tool, and finish the rebuild at some point.
