Great video!! People might also want to switch out their dead CUE screen while doing this, you are most of the way there when all of this trim is removed.

Sorry to hear - It's number 21 for sure but mine was not in use. My ATS is the base model. Not sure if others can chime in with similar models.

I appreciate the way you show exactly how to remove the connectors and take clear unobstructed video. . There’s got to be at least 3 or 4 different types and ways to disconnect these harnesses just on the various parts that are visible in your video. Other than the code what would a non functioning purge valve do to let you know it’s buggered up? $18-$20 bucks on Amazon and probably $60+ at GM. Nice coil pack, does it help prevent the corrosion on cylinder 4’s spark plug and the coil boot’s spring? Water or “ mist “ sneaks under the coil pack on that side of the engine enters the hole that the spark plug sits in and it’s probably boiled up by engine heat so the steam gets under the rubber boot and corrodes the spring that sends a spark to the plug.

Glad it was helpful. Honestly it didn’t show or have any symptoms. It ran perfectly fine. That’s the ZZP coil pack. That’s the exact reason why I replaced the OEM one. It started having a misfire and found it to be corroded exactly how you described it.

They fuel pump is gonna burn up, especially doing pulls where your gas is all shifting to the rear and air is getting sucked in. I did it in my pickup so im speaking with experience 😂

Should've got a full tank of gas instead of a cold air intake ! it's not gonna do anything for your power just sound... There's engineers that spend hundreds of hours researching to get the air in for the best running engine for the best performance on that tune... unless its tuned for the "cold air" intake its just going lose power...

Modern cars will be running as lean as possible from factory to pass emission requirements. So yeah adding more air will make it even leaner, unless the car has an a/f sensor, which it should. And will automatically adjust. So it’s not gonna make it run worse, although tuning it will make it gain more power for sure.

try pulling on the back side first. If you pull from the front part (windshield side) there are 2 hooks that will not come down if you pull from there.

I had this problem on my moms 2018 encore and none of the connections would budge and I felt like I may break something until I watched your video and was able to get it swapped in less than 5 minutes. My scanner wouldn’t reset the CEL for some reason but I disconnected the battery to clear the codes and it seems to be fine now

The P0496 code indicated an EVAP Flow During a Non-Purge Condition. This purge solenoid controls that. After it was replaced, the CEL light went away.

No it didn’t. But for heated steering, I think that involves replacing the clock spring as well as using a steering wheel that has heat. Hope this helps.

Will any ats-v steering wheel work on my regular 2017 ats ? Or dose it have to be a specific one ?

This was actually an ATS-V steering wheel. I replaced the inner trim to a V Sport one from a CTS. To add other options like steering wheel heat or traction control buttons, you will need to replace the clock spring.
