A cast iron pan retains heat for a while, so you can put the top one on the fire, so once covered you will have heat from the top too. All the best from Vancouver Island

Awesome video as always Carol. The Chicken Curry looked so delicious I wish the there was such a thing as Smell-O-Vision so we could smell the amazing aroma of spices in this dish.

Dear Carol, I’m amazed at your repertoire of recipes that you create and make off grid. I’ve been binge watching the EFRT seasons working backwards and just watched S7 Ep 60. On the episode, you made an amazing looking recipe for a Creamy Cheesy Ground Beef and Potato soup (or was it a stew?) I was wondering, would you share this ‘simple and delicious’ recipe on your Simple Meals channel? Maybe the next episode! Thx!

THank you so much for doing these videos. I have been watching you cook on the trail for years and glad you have started these videos. THis meal looks absolutely fantastic. I am planning on a cross country camping trip this next spring, Lord willing, and hopefully I will use many if not all of these recipes. Dutch oven cooking and cast iron is my way to go. I think I am all caught up with your cooking videos, although not in order. Stay safe and God bless!

Watching you with your family is wonderful. Y'all have done a great job raising your children into outstanding adults. The meal looks fantastic. Sorry you had to put up with the bugs but that comes with the territory when cooking outside as you well know. Stay safe and God bless!

Outstanding looking meal. Watching you two cook together is great. As a solo camper now for 1 1/2 years, I still have a hard time cooking for just one. But, I do like leftovers! Thanks for a wonderful looking meal. As always, stay safe and God bless! A good side of cooking too much is if there is anyone camping nearby, I will offer them a meal. Thats why I still carry two chairs, enough dishes for two and two coffee mugs. You never know. And as a blacksmith, I have a farm disc that I intend on making a wok with. This just gave me more incentive.

I just stumbled across this channel. I have been watching y'all cook for years now while you are out on your adventures. So glad to see this channel and will continue to follow. They look absolutely delicious. Watching the outtakes at the end made me smile. I am always looking for new ways to improve my camping cooking. I do a lot of dutch oven cooking and baking. Thank you so much. As always, stay safe and God bless.

Delicious gish nicely cooked ❤. I frequently cook this dish for my family being a foody person I cook many types of meals at home. In Indian we love to cook with many types of spices give a fantastic aroma and taste flavour some time I cook chicken without a drop of oil which is very healthy and enjoying. The way you cooked the Onion by covering it' after adding all the ingredients with the chicken cover it in low temperature leave it for 20to 30. Mint chicken will release water that time of covered condition and your dish with be ready ❤😊. Healthy eating and healthy living 😊❤❤.

Oh this looks amazing! I do have a question about the skottle (been eyeballing these for awhile ) but wondering how good the simmer control is ? I have the Eureka Ignite Plus camp stove that I bought for that reason as just high or low definitely was not getting the job done 😉 Any thoughts? Thanks so much for these delicious meal recipes and continued safe travels 🥰

They have changed the controller and added a butane adaptor as well as the propane. Definitely makes it a lot easier to cook with. I like having the options with fuel. Hope that helps. 😃
