What an awesome time and your mother's tomb stone is beautiful... I never thought of making tuna melts when we camped but I am now adding that as well to my list and we can do it right on our black stone. Thanks for sharing!!

Such a special family time 💕 My Mum used to make sun tea in a huge pitcher that would steep on the steps to our screen porch for hours and then she would add fresh mint from the garden and some lemon, wonderful memories. Have you ever tried adding cottage cheese to tuna Carol? It’s actually pretty good especially as a salad vs. sandwich with some lettuce & avocado. I’m inspired to make some tuna melts. I haven’t made that in a very long time. My dad used to make that for me all the time when I was a kid. Memories of him and my childhood as well.

Enjoyed watching you build your tuna melts while - coincidentally - I was eating my version. Another option is to add everything you mentioned you like but replace the tuna with chick peas (mashed but still a bit chunky) on your sour dough bread. I started making my own sour dough this year which becomes a hobby. Happy to share my recipe if/when you get into it. This chickpea melt is my new favourite! Janice from Calgary

I chop an apple (peeling left on) in small dices and add it to my tuna salad and chicken salad. Its delicious. This my first time watching your channel. I'm enjoying it immensely.

Sadly in Canada our tuna melts are Tillamook-less. Adding a can of flavoured fizzy water to sun tea to dilute is also tasty. 🥾⛰️🇨🇦❤️
