I just watched the video making the Furby robot, and that you had said you were pretty sure you'd never see it again. 😢 What a wholesome moment to know you two were actually reunited, it warms my heart! ❤😆

@AustinBradley3 күн бұрын
It depends on the project. Most stuff I do in Fusion 360, but I prefer working in something like Meshmixer or Blender if it’s more organic. Honestly, you can do just about anything in Blender, but I’m more comfortable in Fusion 360.

Probably could have just replaced the metal brackets 🤔 but thats still a slick design.
@AustinBradley3 күн бұрын
That was my original plan, but I was worried about getting the offset angle right without losing print strength. I might still try it eventually because the original wood handle feels nicer.

Looks nice. Bed size going to be an issue at all?
@AustinBradley14 күн бұрын
Yeah most of my main projects would benefit from a larger bed, but honestly, the speed almost makes up for it for me. I already split files up to be printed on my other Ender 3’s sometimes and this bed is a little bigger than that.
@RealAndySkibba14 күн бұрын
@@AustinBradley yeah. I have a CR10 V2 and just got an X1C. Newer printers are so much faster even with smaller bed they can typically print similar volumes to older larger bed printers.

There's no excuse to not use a torch lighter these days to light fireworks. They're cheap, windproof, and instantly light a fuse. You don't have to do the "I'm terrified of these roadside stand fireworks" shuffle as you're fighting the wind to light them with a dollar store grill lighter 😂

You are going to need to get used to being recognized. You are making amazing and unique things and showcasing them in well made videos. The longer you keep doing that, the more people will find out about you. You may want to check to see if there are any Maker Faire's closer to where you live. It will help spread the word of what you do, and help get you used to the attention. I don't know if you would want to, but you may also want to reach out to local colleges or steam programs, and start getting booked doing speaking engagements. There is a lot of money in it (though at the beginning, you may need to do some for free or cheap, then get video of it so you can have proof to the higher paying gig places.) And it can be very fulfilling to inspire people in person with a 45min-1 hour talk about what you do. Wishing you more and more success!
