I'm in the UK and I use a folding ruler 👍 It started in the Netherlands were I lived for many years. They use a duimstok, which is more like the old 3 foot folding ruler used by older British carpenters. I switched to zollstock after going over to Germany for a couple of projects. The German carpenters love a zollstok. They generally had 2, so they could measure between fixed spaces, i.e., floor to ceiling. 👍

Nothing against power tools from Makita. But their bit sets, I would throw out the window.

Used to be wood worker but after starting to watch your videos am becoming more of a tool collector ☺, best one for me so far was the white on black take measure.

I really liked the marxman tool, seen them before and also wanted to get one, but never come across one.

Like you not in favour of the Stanley knife there are better out there. Liked the look of the toilet seat tool. Totally understand what a pain to fit loo seats.

As a German I can say I like Bauhaus the most out of all German hardware stores. They have a good selection that is mostly good or acceptable quality… except for wood but this is an issue in all ihrer hardware stores in Germany, mostly B or C grade wood… 😅 Also, I need to remember to order a Shadow Foam Zollstock for my collection 😂

I've got a wiha zolt stick 1000v insulated also has a hole in it to attach a cable it's great for wiring down lights

I have a cheep plastic folding ruler, I use it for quick guesstimates on head stones I'm a stonemason been meaning to get a good quality one.

Big hello from south Africa.. Never seen a zolstocks here I've been hunting for one after I watched one of u videos.. Einhell looks like a good tool make, I see they made there way in to south Africa.. Changing a toilet seat is a sh,tty job, did pluming for 5 years now I'm learning to be a sparkie Would like to enter the give away the volt stick would be a grate help

I love the Gerber pliers/multi tool. Nice and compact. The marxman hole marker is also a great addition to any tool kit.
