did anyone else notice Gaurav Munjal (Unacademy) in the back?

3:39 Hiring a salesguy .. a guy of arranged marriage and another guy with 6 relationships .. This analogy is not right ... The person with 6 relationship can have unethical ways of doing sales.. and we have seen startups becoming BIG in short time and also fallen very badly.. As a joke its good

@35:50, you see Gaurav Munjal of Unacademy standing in the crowd. Has matrix partners invested in this company earlier? Bhavin sure has.

1:17 Curiosity is pointless of you dont do application, it doesnt compound as fast My opinion - Well being just curious is also fine. You never know when in life would you get the chance to apply it. That "application" part in the quote may come very late. Not everyone is just curious about businesses and models. There are things which we cant control (say the russian war ) and it is good to be curious about it even if you do not apply it anywhere👀 3:28 "The culture of original ideas will not come because we are not in a free market of getting human insights" Acc to me this is more because we as a society consider everything as a zero sum game. We think that we have to bring others down to rise.😮‍💨 5:06 What i feel about this question is that it doesnt matter how many you do at the same time. What you end goal/purpose is matters. Not how you achieve it . 9:42 good point, it is better to reduce the number of variables. Dont just flock people into the company. -One good point that ive seen many people talk about is that once you hire someone, dont start judging or forcing the person from the very first day. Give the person some time to adapt, help him adapt. He'll become productive to the company eventually, even if not then also it's fine😬 12:01 very good point! Anything that is repeated should get automated or else it is just a time waste - Creativity also plays a vital role in increasing productivity! Only thing is the person must be immune to the judgments of the society else he would not be able to persue it forward. And creative ideas get a lot of backfire! 17:00 Hehe no imo😅. If you are saying to ban same caste marriages then what you are ultimately doing is to classify the people in castes and then deciding whether the marriage is inter or intra caste. This is not what a free market is! No castes should be considered and there should be no words like intercaste! Because castism shouldn't exist. That's how you attain free market and not by banning same caste marriages. -Scaling Culture is important. See any of the JEFF BEZOS podcast. 24:30 - 25:15 Wow😯 -There are never Regrets. There are always lessons learnt behind anything you do. 29:10 - 30:27 VERY GOOD POINT 30:50 - 33:57 Wow again😶😯 + 33:57 - 35:37 Fuck! These people are insane! 😳😳 37:12 good point, have confidence in yourself - We need to create a culture where entrepreneurs are sharing more often no matter how tough the competition is. Again boils down to the fact that it is not a zero sum thing! 48:25 Very true! Valuations should not be given place of value creation. Also that showing the value is much more inspiring than the valuations. This is why what VSS did with paytm still gives me goosebumps. Inspite of the fact that the company isnt in a good position rn, there is hardly any start up that brought such a positive impact in our society. Paytm almost singlehandedly brought most of India cashless in the initial phases.. 51:45 Unfortunate! But yes seems true enough 52:38 Interesting! 53:12 my view on this thing is that "All badges are prisons that people give you to stay in" It Doesnt matter what anybody else thinks even your closest one's :) 53:45 - 54:01 wow amazing example -Never scout for ideas, scout for insights. Start getting interested in Human behaviors 56:40 - 58:00 amazing advice! - Founders should create resourcefulness

2:55 gather insights no matter what the field is as "insights are shortcuts to big impacts. " 4:30 so true! There should be more and more discussions about new concepts fields etc etc. Everyone grows his way. Unfortunately our education system teaches us to be individualistic when we can grow much more as a collective society. 5:16 INSIGHT: declare the things you need to remember in public .It is just like Teaching someone some new concept and you'll have that fixed in your mind too. 8:26 - 8:34 though I'm still at the ideation phase I also have the same feelings 😅 12:09 hmm interesting! TEAM BUILDING ( 13:41 - 18:00 ) Imp points 14:00 hire the best talent instead of trying to save money in recruiting 14:10 Talent Alignment Prioritisation are important points to consider while moving forward 15:00 - 15:20 things to consider into a new hire 15:28 - 16:30 interesting 🤔 17:37 hmm👀 21:30 - 23:40 Nice conversation here In my opinion the " Founder Talent fit " thing should be like we should hire people who compensate the founders weaknesses Kunal on HUMILITY - 18:25 18:56 " knowledge compounds in a very weird way " not a regular path. There will be skill floors and skill roofs but in the end everything compounds 19:00 hmm nice! 25:50 the output we get during our working hours is what defines us. No matter how many hours you work 27:48-28:24 benefits of having systems in place 29:42 very true! Hardwork is the outcome of purpose 30:33 same, Im much likely to get burnt out if I've much too free time or doing homework stuff which I hate. Purpose gives you much more energy than anything else 36:15 - 43:55 Damn! ,Amazing observations 🥲🥲👀🤞 (make notes on the spot) -For doing business for the lower mass of the population - 1.)Sell hope to them. Education, job etc etc 2.)Sell luck to tell 3.)Emotional things and stories 45:11 "In that society that isnt nuanced at all it is very hard to do business because they need humans to sell to them" Hmm sounds logical 45:20-46:48 dang! Again awesome insights 🤩 47:35 man same🥲 Kunal on Fundraising (48:38-49:25) 51:48-52:48 ALWAYS be mindful of who you are accepting in as your investor 3 tips for fundraising- -Partner Quality -Conviction and speed at which they can move -Valuation (Priorities keep changing with time and requirements) 53:18- 53:35 keep in mind Kunal on exits(54:11 -1:00:40) Most hard point here is to actually realise that WEALTH IS NOT A ZERO SUM GAME. Both you and your competitor can work and gain money. I know it is the most obvious thing to say but to actually bring this in practice in your mind is tough. 1:00:50 very true. From a personal experience, being a student who used to envy my class topper as he was celebrated more than me in my house, I can tell that having a close mutual friendship helps a lot as he trusts in you, you trust in him, both root for each other and that envity inside you slowly eradicates. But yes having such friends is much rare. I consider myself lucky here that I have one in school currently 1:15:33 Tf! Insane🥲😂
