You are 100% correct I bought a 2024 street glide and my two biggest complaints are the windshield and the radio. Can you provide a link to the taller windshield that you bought? I’d like to put one on my bike. Thank you, ride safe.

I have not yet ridden the Back of the Dragon. I'm looking forward to it, but Sturgis comes this week. So, the Back of the Dragon will need to wait. The Tail of the Dragon is incredible. I love the sporty feel of it. And, glad you were able to move out of the flatlands.

I just got back from VAMM24, Va. Motovloggers Meetup in Tazewell for 4 days. I live only 3 hrs from the Tail of the Dragon and have ridden it so many times cannot count. We rode several roads in the area. I know you were talking about sporty touring bikes but I don't think you have had the Goldwing experience. My Goldwing is so much better in the corners and has so much more ground clearance than my son's Road Glide I think your idea of a sporting touring bike would probably change. But bikes aside, I like the Back of the Dragon better than the Tail just because of the traffic. Be safe, have fun. Go look up VAMM24 and come join us next yr for VAMM25, a bunch of very nice moto vloggers.

Marty, I took delivery of my 2024 Street Glide a week ago now and I am really enjoying the bike after coming from a Breakout and Fatboy. Did your OEM screen have what looks like cracks in it next to the four mounting screws, I have raised this with the dealer but they are saying both the Street Glide and Road Glide have these lines in the screens. Anyhow I have now ordered a Windsplitter 5in screen for mine and hoping that those don't have the issue. I agree the years just fly by I am 68yrs young now and making the most of my opportunities to ride. Thanks for the review and Hi from West Aussie.

Have the white pearl street glide with chrome trim. Just passed 1000 miles too. Coming from a multistrada but still very impressed with the performance of this bike. It’s a lot of fun and also versatile. Like the tech. Had a few issues with the screen rebooting which was fixed with a dealer software update. No other issues. I got tab performance mufflers with quiet baffles. I don’t want tinnitus and it still sounds great. Nice low rumble. Looking at the 8” windsplitter. Yes, the radio sucks but I have in helmet music. Enjoy!

I upgraded my seat with a factory option at delivery. This is a first for me as I usually fit pretty well in the factory seats (previously rode a Nomad (02-13) and then a Voyager (13-24), both Kawasakis and both rode more than 60,000). The upgrade seat included the cooled feature I find very helpful on a hot day. It starts off very subtle but after 20 or 30 minutes you can feel it definitely making a difference which continues to grow as you ride longer. Was it worth the $1500 upgrade? IDK. May be more of a novelty feature but it was one that influenced me to choose the Indian brand (how long before Harley offers their version?). It doesn't feel any different than the stock seat but I've only rode distances on the upgrade seat (test rides and showroom impressions previously). The Indian seat is much more firm than the Kawasaki seats but it offers good support. So far my longest day have been about 320miles. I look forward to your videos...you're good at this and make me think about things that wouldn't otherwise cross my mind. Also love the earned respect for multiple brands.

I admire the Road Glide and see its purpose as a great touring machine. The question, however, is why do ALL sport bikes have low handlebars.? Answer, it puts the rider in the best position to easily maneuver the bike. in fast corners. The body position is thus slightly forward hence leaning again :sporty, allowing for best weight distribution and positioning for weight transfer to assist cornering. The mirrors are in the usual sport position where easy review is enabled. Sitting upright is not the sport position. In fact with extended height bars the rider is sitting upright to slightly back comfortable for long distance highway use but not for faster maneuvering. Negotiating fast twisties is a challenge due to the weight distribution and hand position. Higher mirrors also prove difficult to use on the sport position.. Love the Road Glide for all its uses but for me HD made a great SPORT TOURING...................The Street Glide meets all the criteria.

I often go to Roanake (pronounced "Row An Oak") for a day outting from Roxboro. I take 158 to Yanceyville, pick up 86 and run it to the west side of Danville to catch 58 towards Martinsville where I find 220 north to Roanoke. Once in Roanoke I find 221 and run that south to Hillsville where I rejoin 58 to run back to Danville where I catch VA 62 south on the east side of Danville (62 becomes NC 57/Semora Road in NC) which runs right by my house on Semora Road just after Concord Church. The ride is rather ho/hum until 221 which is where the fun starts, unless you get stuck behind a long line following an RV. 58 is even a decent road west of Martinsville which is then 4 lane until Danville. This yields about a 350 mile trip for me.

Thank you for these amazing videos, recently purchased my 2024 first harley street glide. Still getting use to it, first thing I changed was my exhaust, went the the Khrome werks slip on. It's alot better , it's not to loud, but alot better than stock, after ridding it for a week, my torque was less off the line, so I ordered so baffles for it and now it's perfect. I'm subscribered and look forward to seeing more videos God bless

Latin and Greek words are NOT in the English Bilble. Look at the original Greek and the Latin Bibles - AND THERE THEY ARE IN THE BIBLE! The Latin translation of this verse used the word rapturo. Same word for a RAPTOR - a bird that snatches its prey and pulls it up in the air. The Greek word it translates is harpazo, same word for HARPOON, that snatches its prey and pulls it up to the surface. The English Bible DOES teach the Christians will be “snatched away” or “taken” away up into the sky by Jesus, but it does not use the word Rapture - it just clearly DESCRIBES the event of the Rapture.

Definitely function. I have added the heated/cooled seat on my pursuit and lower lights, and taller windshield. Next up is a horn. The stock horn ought to embarrass Indian. That is really my only complaint with the bike. Also on the agenda for down the road are "lizard lights" for fashion (and some visibility at night) and a new heated suit. I am open to suggestions as to which is best. I have had a Tourmaster heated suit since 2008 and only had a few minor problems but given the age, I think it is time for a new heated jacket and gloves.

I lowered it about two inches, taller shield, Led lights, I had the seat modified and recovered, tail tidy, 40mm lower pegs, adjustable kick stand, booster plug and a complete exhaust system because you can't hear this bike even running after about 30 MPH. I don't want it loud just louder than it is. I'm 73 and it works perfect for what i do... I'm healthy and can still ride big twins, I just choose not to...

I traded a 21 CVO Street Glide for a 24 non-CVO Street Glide. The 24 is light years better in every way, even though I was coming from a CVO. The standard 24 SG is still better. The 24 batwing does a much better job dealing with windy conditions than the 21. The new screen is great and it only took about an hour to get used to the new buttons on the handlebars. Both of my bikes had the 117 but the 24 is noticeably quicker than the 21 and I am very happy with the cooler riding conditions. I did a couple 97 degree trips since buying the 24. Suspension is greatly improved as well. I'm totally happy so far.

The leafy side preload adjustment will be for your cargo weight. What’s in your saddle bags, the weight of your tour pack and its contents. If you don’t have cargo the left side preload dial sound be at zero

I used to live in PA back in the 60's and 70's, and always loved passing this place. It was well-kept and very elegant back then, like a little piece of England. So sad to see it in this condition. I imagine the hurricanes in recent years were hard on it, it was so close to the ship canal and lake.
