Just got the H14BM last night, so much fun. Really appreciate this comparison as I was torn between the two. Is the "wheel" on the controller supposed to stay where I've turned it, or is it supposed to return back to "0" via a spring or something when i let go? Currently it stays where i turn it by some friction. Lastly if I dont like the controller can i swap it out for a new one? I found the car itself to be super high quality but not the controller.

@djbuzzard Thanks. I have received a lot of positive and negative responses to this video. I started my channel to help the community make informed decisions on spending there hard earned money. So i literally just did upgrades on my accent 18 last night. All was good and got it to crawl at a 53 degree angle. BUT i was really disappointed with Redcats steering linkage. It has no where near the travel that the plastic stock does. Not only does it restrict steering, but articulation slightly. I kept the plastic "tire to tire" linkage but changed the one short one fromnthe solenoid to the bronze bar. I should try the bronze one but looks like its not a fully thought out design. Guess i shouldn't knock it til i try it, maybe the plastic ones have excess travel, but in handling them not installed there was way more range of motion on the plastic.

Honestly I think you are doing Vanquish a disservice with this video. I understand how this could be a design flaw but its only an issue when the servo is disconnected. When the servo is hooked up it keeps the shaft from rotating. When driving complete non-issue.
@hyperc524913 күн бұрын
@jacmac0422 Unfortunately, that is not true. The servo being installed has nothing to do with pivot of the front links. If you watch my channel, I did some massive upgrades to my H10 and it's an awesome rig. Pointing out problems with RCs is not a disservice. Especially for the consumer that saves up their money to purchase something. Informing people with facts is just being honest. People opinions on that fact are the true disservice. Thanks for watching.

I purchased one yesterday Bone stock I can twist mine as much as it I want it does not hang up anywhere so either they fixed it I have one good copy and you don't or it only happens when the servo's disconnected but I feel like you're detering people from buying this product when I can't replicate it that doesn't seem right to me let me know if you'd like a video of mine

Oh by the way, your ESC not initializing is a very common problem with brushless systems, and most of the time, I've had to adjust my throttle trim... It'll power on beep and count your battery cells but it won't initialize because it can't see your transmitter because the throttle is out of calibration with the ESC which is why you need to move your trim... Besides that everybody knows that onboard BEC suck ass... personally I would just pick up one of the castles $20 becs and and disconnect your Rx from the BEC altogether...
@str8creepin20 күн бұрын
They used inferior dip switches on that ESC... The spring pressure is probably not enough to hold a good connection, and it is possible there's a bit of manufacturing debris inside of those switches... If you can actually get those switches to hold contact it might stay working properly... Hopefully, it does because that's like the best system going for the price right now...

So i have tye h14bm when originally thinking I had the 14210 well one of my outer wheel bearings popped out so I ordered new bearings for a 14210 and they were way too big. Whereas mine, the h14bm has to different size inner and outer wheel bearings. The inner and outter bearings on the 14210 are the same. At least from what i was reasearching anyway. Would anyone know of any upgraded casters for my h14bm casters with bearings installed? Trying to find my exact bearings are damn near impossible and in my manual then sent me with it states both inner and outta wheel bearings are same part #. Im kinda fairly new to the hobby so maybe im missing something obvious but I'm pretty well versed for the amount of time that I have been in the hobby and love cars mechanic whole life n shit but has anything possibly ran into this same bearing issue as me??

Im using the Dumbo X6GFG remote with gyro, and the the Larger tires, which are a flat profile from my MJX 14209. I find 2S at 75% is the perfect power/speed for controlled dirt racing, when I want to do speed runs, I use a 3S with the gyro turned up a notch. The MJX Wheelie bar will match up and mount perfectly if you desire one. I like the look of the rear mounted tire, so that stays. It also looks Awesome woth the roof removed and some black refrigerator plastic tubing sliced open on one side to slide over the top of the cage when the roof is removed for some slide protection.
