Make sure to add pepper to activate the tumeric and use only local unfiltered honey. If the honey is not local you do not get the benefits. Local honey had the local pollen.

Olive oil, baking soda, and lemon essential oil mixed together works extremely well to get stickiness off from labels. Just let it sit on the area for about 5-10 mins and wipe away.

I would like to make Rosehip Syrup using concentrated rosehip juice, so that it is similar to the Delrosa rosehip syrup I used to have when I was a baby, and which isn't available anymore. Do you have any advice with regards to the quantities of concentrated rosehip juice, sugar, and water I should use, please?

Mary this is amazing! I’ve been under the weather and my brain isn’t working top notch. This will be great for those days. Plus for the seniors who get foggy headed. They may get to stay at home longer. I have dehydrated soups in a jar. Saving for catastrophic reasons. Super idea putting the recipe on the bag. 👍🏼👋💜🤗

On a reddit thread several young people were talking about not knowing how to cook. They didn't know where to start so I suggested your channel. For Home Economics 101 and back to basics cooking . Hopefully, this nets you some new young subscribers. You're Awesome!!

Wonderful information you give but I need something that is just a little bit quicker for talking. You are very detailed and that’s great but you tend to drag things along.

Yes, but you want to find an area such as a turned off oven with the electric light on that can maintain about 110F to make yogurt. Love, Mary

I compromise. When I buy soda pop, I buy it in small plastic bottles. I know. Not ideal. But they are perfect for second ferments. When I squeeze the bottle and it feels firm, it's ready to refrigerate. It's at least a trade up from Coke and Pepsi. I don’t use them over and over many times, because I'm sure that degrades the plastic even worse.

This broth is really pretty tasty. I made it with onion, garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger, and 4 cups of water. After simmering for 30 minutes, it only yielded 2 cups. Tomorrow I’m going to double the recipe, and make another batch. I’m anxious to see if it works.

Thank you Mary!!! I bought a tiny bit of rye flour to make my starter. I’d hoped to start it with rye and then transition to feeding it with all purpose flour once I got it established so I didn’t have to keep both types of flour on hand. Will that work? Or will I always have to feed my sponge with rye from now on if I start it with rye?

Hi Mary.. I am wondering if you have any bread machine recipes? I am going to try this in a bread machine. Hopefully it will work. I would put all liquids in first..then flour and yeast on top. Wondering if anyone has tried doing this. Th buns you made are perfect and look so good. Thanks Mary!

I suggest we use a peeler, save the beet n efforts. Why waste? Smaller slices are good for salad to be used later. I ran out of patience. Wish you could keep it short.😮

I started using tallow for my protein shakes. 16 oz water, 8 oz melted (important) tallow and 10 oz grass fed whey protein. I'm hooked! I'm getting closer to a beef only diet, and I feel great!

My parents were given some 80 year plus old beans when I was a kid. They were never soft. My Mom served them after cooking for 7 hours and they were still crunchy. So longer is something. She had not soaked them but she doubted they would ever be soft. They tasted the same though.
