Cascade link went over center over compressed rear shock jamb rear tire against seatpost I went over the bars took 3 mechanics to pull it out sent link and frame to cascade for evaluation and they could not find anything wrong except minor bearing wear and they sent all it back said tuff pal we can’t find any fault with our product. Lesson learned Factory engineers design frames best not to try to make a frame travel further than it was designed for! Now I’m stuck with a damaged $4k carbon frame front triangle. I changed back to Santa Cruz standard link to be safe. I have videos without shock on that I sent to cascade they you can see how link allows head of bolt gouge into frame and jamb
@AngrywolverineMTB5 күн бұрын
Dam that sucks hopefully everything will work out for u❕I’ve never heard of any problems like before. And for reference I had my cascade link on two different SB150 frames & never had an issue 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@ralph148365 күн бұрын
Nothing to work out cascade said there link is fine but it clearly was not with the shock removed you can see the link can bottom out into the frame I put the factory link back on hopefully you never have problems with your Yeti SB150s I’d say you are one of the lucky ones also there was my body weight plus 10 pressure set in rear shock when it collapsed and it wasn’t a big jump less than 2ft high

i am 6' on the medium SB160. was going to change front 180 fork to 160mm and try the mullet 27.5 on the rear. i also have an SB150 large. love the climbing of SB160 and faster feel but i wonder if i would enjoy moving around more on the Large. the SB150 feels like I have to move around so much more and feels more rewarding in a sense.
@AngrywolverineMTB27 күн бұрын
@@jamesc6876 interesting that your 6ft and on a medium…I would think the extra room & lslightly longer wheelbase would be more accommodating for someone of your size, either way you a good selection of Yeti’s 🤘🏻

I have the 11.6 (R) on my 160E; haven’t touched a single dial on it from the first ride. It’s amazing. I got it on a Black Friday deal push had 2 years ago. Paid $750 for it right before the “S” version of the 11.6 came out. Today, I’d have no problem getting the SV8. I only use the open mode on the 11.6. Push makes great stuff. 100% sold on their wizardry!
