I was told I looked like a boy at school. I wasn't allowed to grow my hair. I made it prettier with a little lightening, and covered the spot with concealer stick, also I had spots because of chronic lyme. I would wear concealer stick all over my face before double history because I knew that the teacher would be bitching about my appearance. And although I adored history I got her teaching me it. Her droning me to sleep, then as I dosed off, she shouted in my face. So I was terrified of having a panic attack causing me to go red and get worse then be violently sick and have a nervous breakdown. So I wore make up in uniform. This was taken for vanity, but it was armour, protection and a placebo. If you are glamorous they call you vain. If you are not dressing for glamour you get called a slob that let yourself go. I'm autistic which is why I always have been bullied. At school they didn't find it out when it was obvious. I found out aged 21 that I must be. When a girl pointed it out. Then it took twenty years of my begging for help, for autism test. Even days before a cognitive behaviour clinic figured it out my dr still refused to help me. At 42 I finally got a positive result. Autistics are needing to dress comfortably. Smart clothes are uncomfortable and cold in winter. All I want is clothes that are cosy attractive and not not expensive as I don't want it damaged by work too soon. Please Joan can you start a shop chain that sells comfortable clothes for sickly people, in a cold climate, that are comfortable and not black, and good colours for every pallet and simple.
