Thank you for sharing this perspective, Steve. We are so privileged in the US to not have to go to such lengths to be protected against diseases. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus, to everyone who helps Liberians fight for health!

That is so unsanitary. No gloves, using basically a big toothpick and no sanitary wipes to clean up the area
@underthemangotreelife2 жыл бұрын
Haha, this is the real life easiest way to do it at home. No one would go to a clinic to remove a jigger and gloves would be overkill. Would you wear gloves to remove a splinter from your child? Never. Even at home older kids usually take the jigger from the younger kids' toes. Wood is actually the best way to remove them because wood, unlike metal, has the right amount of friction to pull skin without breaking skin. This is the key to healing quickly and lowering likelihood of infection. Using a scalpel would be a bad choice because it would open skin and be more likely to break/cut egg sack... both increasing infection risk. Sometimes the simple way of doing a task is actually the best way. 👌

Quite an adventure for the wonderful chicken treasures! So, have you thought of raising chickens at Po River? Is it a good area for them? I get eggs each month directly from New York state farmers, but I only drive about 1 hour each way. You've got us all beat! lol 😀

Luc 21 : 11, 25. The return of Christ is near! And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences (illnesses); and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh
