I think we have a situation(ship). First year of college. We'll say Brian. First hangs out, the TKE thing meets Jalyn. She tells him how she feels right before she leaves for her city which is in another state at the end of Freshman year. She's got him hooked. He thinks he's in love.Summer goes bye she comes back to his city where the college is. Now, she's girlfriend/boyfriend with him. Sophomore year. Now, yes they're having fun. But what happens when senior year comes. Does she stay here, move back to her hometown? This would be a slow progression way past the 8 weeks thing. I just don't know with this one.

My person has been too busy for almost 6 weeks now and they only work 4-5 days a week. They claim to sleep 9-10 hours a day and hasn't spent even a hour with me since July 8th. I know for a fact that aren't that busy, but somehow they have time for movies, clothes shopping, drawing/coloring/recording whole ass drawings for free, posting on social media, browsing social media, and now suddenly at the "gym" for 3-4 hours on their off days (even tho they never once have gone to a gym and can exercise at home).

Hey Coach Elliot or anyone willing to reply, sorry for the upcoming long message, but I really need some advice and it’s important you have some context. My ex 21/M and I 20/F have been in a bit of a situation. We started dating back in March of 2024 and met at work. Everything was going well till about the end of April when he told me “I think we should just go back to being friends. You deserve someone who is going to give you more attention and love”. I was completely caught off guard. After he said that, a few minutes later he kissed me. Now I was super confused. As time went on, he became more and more distant and slowly faded away over time. He barely called or texted. He still followed me on Instagram and shared his location with me on “Find My”. When I was on vacation the week of July 22nd, he watched all of my Instagram stories throughout the week, I had gotten mixed signals then and before the vacation, that he was still interested in my life/what I was doing. We still worked together up till the end of July, when I had gotten a better job opportunity and left the place I was working at with him. Last week on Thursday, he posted an Instagram note saying “Rotating because I can’t see you with someone else 😔”. When I saw this, I thought he was trying to indirectly let me know that he was sad about what happened to our relationship even though I’m not currently dating anyone else. I thought it was his way of reaching out indirectly because that is what Instagram notes are. He kept posting sad songs (Save Your Tears” and “Here’s Your Perfect” on Friday and Saturday. In response, I posted another two Instagram notes, one on Friday that read “Missing someone, missing you” and another on Saturday quoting the lyrics from the song “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Marz “I won’t give up on us” current state of mind ❤️”. The very next day on Sunday, I decided to mirror his original note and change it to “Rotating because I can’t see me with someone else either 😔”. My whole goal was to let him know that I am open to talking and communicating because that is what he lacked in our relationship. An hour later, he unfollowed (unsure if he blocked) me on Instagram and stopped sharing his location. Then he later deactivated his account because it says “Instagram User”. I’m not sure if my phone number is blocked because there is no way of finding out unless I call or text and I am not doing that right now. I was very sad and devastated. I wasn’t sure if he was trying to get some sort of a reaction out of me. Over the next few days, I found out that a lot of his behavior aligns with someone who is dismissive avoidant (DA)/avoidant attachment style or even more so a (FA)/fearful avoidant which I wasn’t aware of. I learned, usually DA’s/FA’s leave one channel of communication open, which is phone. Obviously we are in “No Contact” right now and I’m giving him his space. Is it likely he’ll reach out when he is ready? Is this common for someone who is a Dismissive Avoidant or what I think he is a Fearful Avoidant to do? If he does not reach back out, when should I? Any other advice for my situation?

Bc we date “hopefully” and we date “potential” 😅 And we hope that one day we put in our time and it will pay off
