How practical/easy is it to video with the FP and a manual focus lens?
@KazuoItogaАй бұрын
For casual video, really easy. I do it all the time. For serious work I'd rig it with a monitor. Keep in mind no IBIS.

Do you know how to see if it's a 7 or 8 elements version? I mean from the outside, I want to know about mine now 😅
@KazuoItogaАй бұрын
Hi! Usually the serial number is under 1,400,000. The red infrared line is on the right side of the 4 line, and the rear element curves out quite a bit from the casing.

Thank you for your wonderful video. I have an fp on loan from SIGMA for use with my students and it is a wonderful camera. Your video and included photos are really good. One thing (and apologies in case); If you are Japanese, your English is incredibly accomplished.

This is pretty insightful! I'm just starting out and have been shooting street theater plays. The challenge is I have no knowledge or control over what the performers are going to do next, so I'm never quite sure how to frame properly 😅

Anybody shooting jpegs ? No viewfinder ? Handling looks awkward and unstable. Nice colours though.
@KazuoItoga2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! fp is modular. You can buy a viewfinder. It also shoots 14bit DNGs. It's not a camera for many, especially beginners.

Hello, you have vignette in all the photos, I wonder if it is a problem with the lens or you have added it in editing. Japan is so safe and calm to take photographs that it is a unique experience.I love how that camera treats color. Thanks.

I have an FP-L which I use in forensic macrophotography using a tripod. I always considered the FP-L to be a ‘tripod only’ camera. Is this correct?

Ive got almost 3 years with the FP, and it is still a powerful video beast. And the thing it doesnt get enough attention over is the still images. The stills are as good as the GFX system I used to have. I sold the GFX and will keep the FP until it dies. It's also massively reliable due to not having a mechanical shutter. And that Sigma 45/2.8 "cheap" lens is spectacular!
