I'm not sure if the beating Trevor takes makes him more or less of a badass. Plenty of other series would have gone the route of "I'm hammered beyond all reason, and you chucklefucks still can't lay a finger on me", but these drunken peasants manage to get in a few really good hits even if he beats them all senseless in the end

I like how the Belmont family is described in the series as one of the oldest families in the kingdom, but they weren’t posh. Being a Belmont didn’t mean you were handed the world on a silver spoon. You fought for the protection of the people. I feel that the church shitted on them the most, because they were the most righteous house, but didn’t follow traditions of “nobility”
