I am trying to control my synth (volca bass) with a little Akai USB keyboard. The keyboard is connected via USB and the Volca is connected via USB to 5 DIN. Is there a way to do this without having to buy a MIDI interface? So under MIDI preferences I have the MIDI hardware settings (akai) as input, and USB Midi interface as output, but no dice! Any insight here? Thank you!

What am I doing wrong? I can get the MIDI working but when I set the audio section to input 1 it just playback my laptop microphone sound (my voice) and I can't hear the synth.
@riffsthatruleАй бұрын
Just make sure you choose the input that your synth is plugged into. What interface are you using and how many inputs does it have?

@@riffsthatrule After listening to this ten times, I might just say this is my current favorite version of the track. I honestly think this beats that recent John Carpenter and Daniel Davies version. The synth patches just sound better and more true to the original whereas they kind of changed it all around, they made it too modern. Still great but I like this one better.

It’s supposed to sound different… Distorted electric guitar was not a part of the score last time I checked. In the original, this melody is played on a celesta and violin. Those instruments sound different from a guitar Incase you were unaware. Thanks for your brilliant comment though 🤯
@Bestialce20072 ай бұрын
@@riffsthatrule Just because a score is played on a different instrument than the original that is not an excuse to not sound anything like the original. You can hum the Star Wars theme and people would recognize it even though John Williams did not hum when recording it. This doesn't sound anything like whatever you were trying to cover, sweep picking a melody does not always make it better, take the L, lose your small dick energy and grow up.
