The transmission was not overfilled, but it is not clear if the transmission was under-filled.

After initial fill, remove drain plug after getting to 45c (operating temp) and whatever amount of fluid comes out, is deemed as excess. Once it starts to drip as shown, you are good.

@@Uncx Not neceesarily. Fluid will slosh into the leveling tube as the car moves even when the level is low; fluid will always come out when the plug is opened.

Well done "go through video". That converter plug screw, is the same one I have on my 7g tronic+. You have to adjust the transmission housing to reach it. Unlike others I've seen on KZfaq, thier converter screw plug comes straight off, I don't know why Mercedes did that.

Just did this it took me about 12 hours bc I had to stop and go buy tools I didn’t have make sure u do intake gaskets while ur at it and check for oil in engine harness
