Whatever W210, W211, W212, there are tons of complaints that issue occurred online. I also encountered the same problem, the gas (Petrol) smell when filled up the E-class gas tank, especially in the garage. That is the fuel leaking. Rather than arguing with the dealer, it's better to spend a few hours and a few money to fix it by ourselves, especially with an expired warranty.

我在网上看到，很多W210、W211、W212的车主都遇到过这种问题，我也没躲过去：加满油后，闻到汽油的味，在车库里尤其明显，那是汽油泄露了。车过保了，与其去4S点纠缠，不如自己花点时间，花点小钱把问题解决了。

Very common issue on mercedes gasoline cars. Relatively easy and cheap fix. Some people use epoxy to fix that plastic part, some people replace whole pump. Make sure you gas tank has minimum gas inside and have open garage door and good airflow otherwise you will have headache. Nice video as always, thank you for sharing!

Also, this is a matter of the high temperatures in California and etc. As my W211 is in California as well. Consider how hot the interior gets in the California Sun. With my 212 (2014 E350 W4M) in Toronto I think this is less of an issue.

I have a similar problem with my 2014 W212 E350, but I was told by a Mercedes mechanic that there is a gas filter under one side and gas pump under the other, how come there is no filter or pump under the cap you removed?

Hi Senior Leigh. This posting was terrific. Incredibly professional and detailed. I used it to swap my exact same parts on the C300W 2011. Question though - what is the correct torque wrench value for the steel ring on the C300W?

李sir你好、我的車子是2012 Mercedes Benz C 350 M276 engine , 我車子上星期二突然打不著engine 而當按keyless button時、我聽到有二下engine kick kick聲、我連續試了四次最後打得著engine了、但是transmission 被鎖了P 不讓我轉RND、我為有關上engine再從新打著engine , 終於可以打著engine及可以轉去D了、但是engine light on , 之後同一天去了幾個地方關了幾次engine也可以打著engine 、回家後我關了engine等了兩小時、再打著engine 而且engine light off 了。請問一下為什麼會怎麼樣？？第二我上綱看過有人說如steering lock壞了也是打不著engine、不過是連kick kick 聲都不會有、而且返車行整要$2700加元很貴的、請問一下李sir會不會教學換steering lock motor ??? 因為換motor不用program 是嗎？我是想問以上兩個問題,謝謝,

same problem with my 2010 GLK 350 causing intermittent check engine light with minor evap leak code with mechanics smoke testing for hours finding nothing....I already know this it the problem, just trying to figure out how to fix it without $1300 for a new fuel pump and filter I know the dealer will tell me to replace.

拆下盖子清洗的时候，已经发现有裂痕了，但苦于没有配件，只好先装回去了。下集完美解决😂

I have a 2007 E350 and I located the 2114710179 Seal ring but the other part 2110470110 is not compatible with the 2007. Any suggestions?

The most accurate way is to look up the part number based on the vin number.

您好！这是很严重的问题，可能是油管接头渗漏，甚至是油管破裂，不要尝试自己修复，尽快去dealer修理，这个符合15年的emission保修。

Evident of poor built quality of Mercedes car, for my W211, we have spent > USD1800 to overcome this gas smell issue. Dont buy Mercedes, period. Go for more reliable car.

Actually, this problem should be covered by 15 years emission warranty.

@@LeighSr I never had this gas smelling issue on my 20 years plus Ford, not on my Toyota, not on my Honda. Only lowly engineered car will face this low tech engineering.
