If you are going for the beach and free alcohol you'll be happy. If you are going for the food, don't bother. The main complex where restaurants, buffett and gift shops are smells like sewage. The food even at the reserved locations is not good. Buffett food is low quality. For the price I expected a lot more from a high rated AIR. Will never go back.

Of course, we don’t expect anything real fancy for All-Inclusive Resorts, especially with all the mixed reviews. Hope you will have a better and enjoyable stay at your next destination!

Thank you for your video and review!! Can I ask what time of the year were you there guys? And also last thing did you have to pay for the a La carte restaurants or all were free? In other Barcelo hotels for example in Riviera Maya we were getting a la carte vouchers based on the nights of the stay? Is it the same here?

Hello! We went there at the end of August. We did not pay extra for the A La Carte restaurants, they were all included with the resort (for dinner only), just need to make reservations. Some of the restaurants were open for lunch but reservations only available for Premium guests. Hope that helps!

Thank You!! I used iPhone 14 Pro Max for most of the video and GoPro Hero 12 for the scooter ride shots. Still experimenting with the GoPro since we bought it right before this trip, but it’s better quality at night and especially when there’s a lot of movement. The weather turned out to be really nice, there’s a bit of rain on 2 days. It was really foggy when we went to the Gates of Heaven temple, but the pictures turned out ok and gave it a ‘heavenly’ feel haha.

Hello! We can’t really comment on whether or not the resort is good for singles, but we did see some bachelor and bachelorette groups. The property has a nightclub, so maybe guests from the sister resort (adult-only, called Barcelo Bávaro Beach), can come over and hang out.

No. Depending on the number of days you are booked, the resort gives you ticketed-reservations at no extra cost. For example we stayed 4 days and was given 3 different specialty restaurant reservations of our choice. We had 1 Japanese ( cooking at table ) they sit I think 6 to eight around open grill with chief giving a slight cookery fan-fair show. Wonderful food and lovely food presentation . We also had a steak house specialty dinning experience. and a French specialty restaurant - All top quality, wonderful friendly waitresses staff , beautiful decor , even wine was included. Beautiful resort , well worth the big bucks $$$. Beaches are great. Grounds beautiful.

Hi, I’m going to Bali in a few weeks too and I’m actually staying in the same hotel you guys did in seminyak for 3 nights and I’m interested in renting a scooter, do you have information? What are the things I need in order to rent it? I don’t have an international drivers license
@ChaoLeeAdventures5 ай бұрын
Hello! We rented from Bikago.com, but there are tons of scooter and motorbike rental companies everywhere, even some random shops just walking along the streets. We also saw scooter lessons offered, but don't remember where. Some rental places may not require an International Driving Permit, but ours did, along with a credit card on file. Better be safe than sorry in case you get pulled over by the police! From our research, we found that Bali currently doesn't require a motorcycle endorsement, just the International Driving Permit itself should suffice (that could change in the future). We got ours from AAA in USA, it was $20 USD for the permit, and they just need 2 passport photos. Pre-filled a form online and printed it out, then walk-in to a AAA office, and came out 10 mins later with the permit in hand. Do a quick search about how to get one at your home town. Alternatively, Bali.com and Bikago.com both had links to internationaldriversassociation.com, so that could be an option as well. We also saw some places on the street advertising that service as well. Good luck and have fun!

@@ChaoLeeAdventures you lie, exemples, dont have potavel water, dont have basic saneament, you pay to go to beaches, you pay to go to waterfalls, sidewalks and broken roads, schemes involving women begging for money in ubud with children and they are not even from bali, they put european prices on low quality products, in europe i pay 30 euros for a gym in bali you pay more than 100 euros 🤣💥😅 you pay two extra fees to eat in a restaurant, they ask you for money for everything, not to mention that I went in 2022 for only 23 days and spent 7 thousand euros 😅💥🤣 if you think that's normal and believe me, I wasn't cheated on nothing because I researched it well, it's the fault of the KZfaqrs who try to make everything seem top-notch but in the end we know it's not, be careful Bali has floods in winter and several earthquakes, until the day it's a tsunami, and be careful, get insurance because if it's not thousands of euros and if it's more serious you might even have to go to Jakarta, be careful with street food, not all of it is hygienically healthy and with the ice it can be contaminated, they catch beli beli a 2 week old shit 🤣😅🤣😅 anyway, start talking The truth is, I just had to book a trip to Bali and they ask me for 4x more per day in the same hotel, it would be more expensive for a night in a hotel than the minimum wage in Bali, it makes you think about the amount of hypocrisy that goes on there, they believe in karma ? only in their pockets, but there are so many schemes like the one with the mirror in Lempuyang temple etc. and be careful beaches full of rubbish due to the currents bringing the rubbish that they try to throw to the bottom of the sea, such as open sewers to people washing or kids playing, corrupt police that are just for tourists and ask for money there are many schemes

Awesome video. Did you get the premium level or the standard one? I also booked through Costco and the premium level was not available. I am wondering whether we can go to all the restaurants with the standard Junior suite reservation? Are they included as well? We are vegetarian (not vegan) and we eat egg and cheese but not any seafood or other meat. Do we have enough options?
@ChaoLeeAdventures7 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank You! We got the standard reservation (we didn't know about Premium until we got there). You can make dinner reservations at any restaurant (Premium can also eat lunch at some of those), but it really depends on what time slots you want and the availability at the time you try to make the reservation. Some restaurants had vegetarian items on the menu, but it's best to check with the concierge for their recommendations or maybe they can make arrangements with the restaurant cooks.

Thank You! The food was pretty good overall, some meal were really good, some were ok. But we didn’t choose an all-inclusive resort for the quality of food, it was more for the convenience and not having to worry about finding places to eat, with different prices, etc. The all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to were all great value for the money. As for the spa, didn’t use this facility during our stay and we also weren’t premium guests so not sure what the premium includes. From the website it looks like discounted services at the spa. Hope you enjoy your stay whichever resort you end up choosing! ☺️

Do they charge a transaction fee? Is it better to exchange at the airport or outside of the airport?
@ChaoLeeAdventures7 ай бұрын
Most places don’t have a separate transaction fee, they just factor that into their exchange rates. If you need money immediately you can exchange some at the airport but you will find better rates in the city. You can also order some currencies ahead of time through your bank :)
@sharkparty10277 ай бұрын
@@ChaoLeeAdventures Thank you for the info. I have seen some videos of people using the Red ATMs for pulling money out via their visa cards. Threre is a 20,000 KIP fee per transaction. Do you think the ATMs are a better option compared carrying crisp bills to have exchanged? Going to Laos for the first time in a week. Doing last minute research for this last minute trip. Wish I knew ahead of time that Bank of America could order my KIPs inadvance.
@ChaoLeeAdventures7 ай бұрын
We haven’t used ATMs to withdraw money so we can’t comment on that, but from what you say, the fee seems reasonable and convenient enough for not having to carry crisp bills. Just have to be careful about the ATM location and provider security, but you do get protection from Visa. And yes, we did have issues with merchants refusing some bills that aren’t giving them paper cuts. They run their finger on the edge in the middle of the bill where it’s typically curved from a wallet (where the shiny ribbon is on the $100 bill). If that area is soft, then it’s considered too used and they didn’t take it. But that was at a gold shop and not a bank so you might have a different experience. We just ordered some Thai Baht and Indonesian Rupiah from BofA on 10/31 and they were ready for pickup on 11/1. You can still try to order. If you do end up using the ATMs, please let us know what you think, maybe we’ll consider that in the future. Have a wonderful trip!
