I'm back and very happy to report that your technique worked! It took several screws, but I found and stopped several squeaks! Pure genius!

You can only "burn" an inch if you are measuring less than a foot or if someone else holds end. You didn't mention when purchasing a tape make sure the hook is perfectly flat. I see too many with slight bend making measuring off. The tape that you showed with the 1/8" 1/2" etc markings is the best for amateur DIY. Helps them learn accurate measurements instead of saying " 5 ft 1inch and 6 little marks" the rivets loosen through abuse only, letting tape go full speed in from full out, dropping, throwing other tools on it. I have been woodworking for 50 years and have tape measure I still use that are that old. A metric one is needed, in Canada especially, most all building products are sold in imperial. You showed measuring on the wall but you let the tape sag causing the measurement to be off. Also using the body off the tape for inside measurements is also an option, most all tape bodies have the width marked on it.

Unfortunately didn't work. The drain is perfectly clean and the entire shower area is too. Can't even imagine where the problem is .

If I'm not mistaken, this method will produce a gap of 13.75" between the first and second stud which means 15.25" on center for that first section.

OK. I'm confused. If you measure from the edge of the board and put it center then you attach a board at the beginning, that would not be 16" on center to the next board. Sorry I'm new to this

We have one the same. It tends to struggle to pull 18mm hose even though it is rated for 60m length of 18mm hose. The plastic gearbox is just not up to the job.

AMAZING. I've been trying for months to get a few horrible stains out of my carpet. Tried oxiclean and other solutions but nothing worked. Stains went from purple/black, to blue to green. Followed the directions in this video and the stains are GONE! Thank you!

ok, we are new at hanging doors. we tried to hang a door with shims and nails. That was a problem. We then were told to try with shims and screws. But before we could try that we found out about this little gadget. We tried this method and it worked like a charm! We have frames that are very crooked in this old house. We were able to adjust using just the screws on this little bracket. There are extra steps in this video I see, but we did not use the extra steps. ( attaching extra brackets and bending them ). I can see the use for them but at $7.50 a pop, we were not going to use the extra. For us amateurs this was a great video and a terrific gadget. Thanks.

Is there a non conductive type foam made to spray in the actual outlet that will block the draft by filling the entire inner outlet box? These foam shields are an improvement but not a complete fix.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the first on center occur at 3/4? If you add 16 to that you get 16 3/4.for your next on center. Measure 3/4 back and you get 16 not 15 1/4.from the end of the plate to the beginning line. The first line should be at 16 and then put the stud on the correct side.

I'm working on a drywall project right now. I have a finished staircase or what will be a finished staircase. I have right triangle pieces where I am getting late spaces. I have done just a simple math equation of two measurements and getting X. I have tried measuring each stud and bottom to top to get the angle for some reason there is still about a one inch space. The last I tried was a template with cardboard but due to the right space could not get a proper template. Please if you could make a video on how this is done. What tools, best practices, I have looked all over KZfaq and I can only find the basics or the stuff I already know.

What do you do if you have stop, and the PVC hardens, and the wire gets stuck?
@tonylicari8 жыл бұрын
Get one mark, either from common layout or from a made up layout like in the video. From that mark it's 16 fall ahead or 16 fall back(with the X) depending on which side of the stud you marked and pulled from. Every stud will be on center, just as accurate and faster. This is rough framing, not piano building.

Hey Bob thanks a lot for your tips and knowledge!! I just fixed a door in my house and it needed exactly all the steps in your video, even the little pieces of wood to get the screws to tighten again. I love all your videos, they're easy to follow and very well explained!! I like that you also explain the DONT'S and what could happen if done wrong. Great Job Bob! Keep them coming!!
