Nathan is a wizard when it comes to this platform 💯 I was in the same position as yourself towards the end of last year with a blown up engine (span bearing) in my Golf R while in the process of going stage 2 and I didn’t know what to do, it’s the last thing you ever want to happen a car but have to stay positive about it, these things happen. Being in Northern Ireland/Ireland, second hand engines are like hen’s teeth here and near impossible to find - never mind finding a good one lol, another option was getting one from England but typically anyone I messaged would not even consider shipping here because of Brexit (even though I’m still in the UK). Found others mentioning Ares Tuning on the Facebook page - UK Golf R Owners club, I got in contact and eventually got the car shipped to him and let him work his magic - lifted it 2 weeks ago and to say I’m chuffed is an understatement, runs better than it ever did before and it’s a much better alternative to buying a second hand engine. Now to get back to getting a few other upgrades like my intercooler installed to keep it cooler which was sort of the last thing I was planning to do before it decided to top itself. Definitely considering getting the baffled sump now after seeing it on Nathan’s monster too…

@@S3Ranj I was looking at 1 a couple of years ago on autotrader and it said it was £30 to tax. I thought it was right as my friends 120d is 30. I thought it was to good to be true. Lol

Great vid, the information 👌 is priceless. I have a Skoda Superb 206tsi Mk3 Sportline running Galano Engineering stage 2 255kw (341hp) at the wheels with 529nm torque. EA8883. 2018. Just like this video 2nd,3rd and 4th into 5th boost by gear just keeps pulling. Runs about 30psi. IS38.

The ea888 is a great engine but if you want to chase big numbers you will always be limited by the internal intake manifold. It's why you won't see more than 750 bhp out of one, the older Ea113 has been pushed to over 1000 bhp (it's all about the air flow)

Had an issue with my golf r engine in march this year and contacted nathan to chat about the issue and potential solutions- took his time to chat to me twice and mega knowledgeable guy, and was ready to send the car to him for an engine rebuild but I ended up not needing it. Would 100% recommend them just given that experience

Currently my irish cupra is sitting next to your motor its going to be getting the same thing. Your higher up the queue haha. I just dropped it off Monday. Saving grace for me is I don't have any failed parts as such but just mildly leaking piston rings.

No is the answer to this question, quite simply. A sleeper is something like a 1977 Volvo 245 with something like a stage 3 R36 engine dropped into it. What you’ve got here is a extremely common motorway cruiser with a bit of grunt at best. Probably see 5 of these on my 20 minute commute.Prefer the rarer 640d grand coupe (4door)mapped to 414bhp personally.

@@S3Ranj I spoke with one of my mechanic and he said stay far from N, recommended b47 and I have no issue with b47 . N is mean timing chain have some issue from manufacture.

On my S3, I ran lowering springs first from racing line. Then ST XTA coilovers, now currently on air ride, but going back to the coilovers as they are fantastic.
