Hey there, Just moved to the area from Bradenton/AMI. I’d love to talk and possibly go fishing sometime…I’m very experienced, have my own boats and know what a pain it is to troll alone…a lot better w/ some help…I also got some #s from some of my charter captain buddies. I also have my own boats, flats & bay

Nice work. Question, did you run long positive and negative wiring straight back to the battery, or did you wire it with short wires to the positive terminal, and negative bus bar in the the console? I'm about to do this in the next couple days.
@oceandeepfishing45555 күн бұрын
@@TheJoshGriffis hello there, So i just tied it into the power bar behind the console. Made life a lot easier. However, you can run it to the batteries if thats a better fit for you. Tight lines. Thanks for watching

Why would you change the engine oil and not the filter that makes absolutely no sense to me at all
@oceandeepfishing4555Ай бұрын
@@fishydubsfishing6516 I did change the filter, but I had to take it somewhere because I couldn't get it off.
@oceandeepfishing4555Ай бұрын
@@fishydubsfishing6516 And the filter that I had to take somewhere was the water fuel separating filter. But if you rewatched the video shows your right plane as day changing the oil filter on the side of the engine.
@oceandeepfishing4555Ай бұрын
So let me explain to you and any viewers that might be reading this when I said. I didn't change the Oil filter on the oil change. That was because it was a 20 hour. Service oil change and the Yamaha maintenance manual said not to change the oil filter at this time to change it at the 100 hour oil service. And that's directly from the Yamaha maintenance. Not something I made up.
I've been a mechanic Mill right industrial maintenance all my life and I rebuilt engine's when an engine breaks in you're wearing off a lot of material as the engine seats in that's why they want you to change the oil all that material on the break in process gets trapped in the filter I don't know why Yamaha would not recommend changing the filter also if the filter gets plugged with foreign material from the break in process it will bypass and blow all that material into the new oil for people that don't understand how oil filters work these engines cost $25,000 now I would not try to save $20 on a filter

Its pretty easy to do. Just take your time. Make sure you replace everything you take off. Im Definitely not a person that's mechanically inclined so I did it. I think you can do it too. good luck if you try it on your own.

@oceandeepfishing45552 ай бұрын
I did look at it before removal. But I didn't make a comment on it. Because the new one doesn't matter without the fin. It only fits in one way. There's no fin to detect tracking.

Can you use worms as bait for fishing ? What did you use ?
@oceandeepfishing45553 ай бұрын
Not sure Worms would do very well for crabbing, but Worms would be good for freshwater fishing. But I used live shrimp to fish with from the dock.

So it's hard to tell exactly, but the lower unit There is a small bolt that has a square nut that fits into an inset. that square nut. You have to put in to that inset before you screw. The screw in or the screw has nothing to hold on, to. That's what I'm doing at that point i believe. The nut fell out of the hole when the bolt was taken off. Hope that helps.
@edwardsweet39275 ай бұрын
Help!! The bolt that you start to take off at 4:12 in the video… what is that that you grab with your other hand.. is there a nut back there that needs removed? I just completed this service and that specific bolt won’t go on… is there a nut you’re catching there?
@oceandeepfishing45555 ай бұрын
Also, that small screw with the square nut is very small. Probably only a 1/2 inch long max.

I’m by no means a professional fisherman, but have targeted mango snapper for years, and you would have caught many more using the shrimp as live bait, not dead! Hook them under the horn where it meets the head, ( be careful of the grey spot you’ll see, that’s the brain), and the shrimp will stay alive a long time. Also, tie lines (leader and braid) together using Alberto knot. Using no swivel and the smallest hook, (#1) will produce many more fish. Mangos will hit dead bait, like your shrimp were after threading them on the hook, but they strongly prefer LIVE BAIT! I live in Titusville myself, and have fished that spot by the raised part of the Trussell, many times, and have literally loaded the boat with them! Hoping not to sound like I know it all, just trying to help! 24:26

Could have placed funnel next to container hole, and Yamalube is okay oil.. but the dye in it keeps warranty in good standing, although Yamaha does allow other oil to be used. Amsoil is the choice of the smart boater.
