You should mix in some barbell front squats on your leg days. They keep your core engaged a lot more than back squatting so can be great for your lower back as well!

Huge tip my guy: Never slow down when you go to jump. Always speed up. You can practice like 3 steps/ 3 fast steps and explode into the jump but speed up as you jump!!! 💯

Well your certainly getting there . Your general technique is good . Its your none jumping leg causing the problems as you mentioned. Because it flares out its causing rotation and bad landing on one foot . Should always land on two . You do frust your knee up on your none jump leg which is good but then is flares . I had put a clip of me dunking a year or so ago and at the end of the vid theres a slow mo so you can see my none jump leg and how i move it back for landing . Keep jumping the dunk is close . Don’t get hurt. You have to learn some techniques about landing first. I was injured from practicing dunk due to bad landing form and consistently jumping without rest. Fortunately, after 8 months recovery and 4 months training, my vertical even getting improved than before. I am 35y and 5’10 only ,I can dunk 9’10 rim finally. by the way my son just 1y, dunk is really not easy for me.😭 Hope you getting better !

Here are a fet tips: first, look up a one leg jump tutorial by iseah revera, hopefully I spelled his name right. Just note, the jump technique will work as much as you put work into it, you can potentially jump as much as 10 inches higher than your standing vert. Second, get bouncy shoes like wow 10s or li ning yushuai 18 ultra x, these will add around 3 inches to your vertical. Finally find a jump warm up to do before your sessions, this will add another inch or two.
