Yes, let's all remember and revere this man who impregnated and abandoned women like dogs, beat up his girlfriends, and became a debilitated paranoid drug addict who couldn't contribute anything to the Stones anymore, which is why they fired him shortly before he OD'd. Btw, do you see any writing credits for him on any of the Stones' catalog? No. Still they gave his family a generous percentage of Stones royalties in perpetuity. I'm glad his grave has a very simple headstone without undeserved words implying heroism.

Hi Jim, many thanks for posting this. Unusually you've not said where it is but I believe it's Helensburgh Cemetery in Argyll, Scotland. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am insulted by any glorification of someone who plays a GAME Public statues should be about people who have made a contribution to society in a generous or inventive fashion. In Stoke on Trent there is a statue of some footballer smack dab in the middle of the town centre, yet there is another, smaller, statue hidden away by the side of the Library of Reginald Mitchell, who designed the Spitfire, saving many lives during WW11.

Visited here about 9 months ago ! brilliant manager ! and back in 1974 I wish we had kept him ! Saw us lose 3-0 at Stoke when he was manager but if he had stayed I am sure he would have made us successful !

It has been the subject of much repair, after suffering damage, if you measure the grave, it is 5 foot 8 inches long Winston Churchills height I have an idea that the original gravestone simply said Winston Spencer Churchill Statesman the nearby railway station had been mothballed and earmarked for closure ( Dr Bloody Beeching), it had to be refurbished and brought back to life for the thousands of people attending, a friends Father was in to help and spent two weeks there, afterwards bringing his family along to say thank you The Modern generation will never know, how he gave hope to those in Europe trapped by the tyranny of the Nazis nearby is a bench commemorating the Danish Resistance ,

The only person to treat Brian Jones dreadfully was Brian Jones. Obviously a great number of people on here have not done an in-depth study of his life. Too many sugar coated documentaries.

Brian Jones is the forgotten man of the Rolling stones. He formed and named the group and was crucial to their early sound until drugs loused up his life. The Stones went on to become mega stars in the 1970s and beyond that some critics may argue Jones wasn't needed anyway.

Such a perfect place to lay Brian to rest. At the entrance, the building looks like a small castle. The place is very quiet, the grass uncut, which gives it a more restful look, rather than a place where there are always people working, keeping the grass short and disturbing the area and I like that Brian's headstone is white, which makes it stand out. Of course, I would rather Brian were still around and living a happy life . But as long as I live, Brian will live in my memory .
