Hi, just a question. Shouldn't Sweden have jobs avaliable for the graduates after they have finished their study? I mean, if Sweden invest money on a student, and pay for he's studying. But then the students don't stay in Sweden, and instead choose another place/country, to work in. Isn't it then money and intellect value lost? I hope you understand what I mean with my question. It was not meant to be, or sound as an angry or evil question. 🙂

My intending school doesn't provide health insurance, and it's over a year program and as part of the requirements I'm supposed to submit a comprehensive health insurance doc in order to submit my application for the residence permit. He arrived in Sweden 2019, and that is thirty years after my departure from Sweden as an International student. His story is so interesting and thought provoking. Was that I, who speak here, I felt. His social difference experienced by Raj is almost that of mine and exceptionally the other thing was girls smoking. A lot of academics did inspire me in different world views , not only the scientific research area I was involved in. The third generation professors I experienced and the fourth generation Raj has seen have similarities. I am not an academic but I changed my study field later, while at home due to many other factors and otherwise I would have visited Sweden again. Then there was no internet and e-Media but letters , so we have to be in contact by writing letters and sending cards , and the international telephone calls cost a lot at home. Today the international networking with the colleagues at the University Any international student can have many varying experiences outside their focus, as Raj explained I was also the International Student representative for my study group and at Varmlands Nation. The Swedish scholarship Institutes and the University Boards and Academics are excellent, as they have maintained their University tradition for centuries though not much publicized in Western University marketing agencies. Some Universities are very old, iconic and pioneers in scientific studies and these qualities are inculcated in the comparably new Universities and especially in their controlling bodies. So, Sweden is the best place to study and engage with many different viewpoints, while studying the subject are of specialty. the most important aspect I realized was the way of thinking and liberal mindset of the majority of Swedes. What an open country Sweden is. The University students mind break open in to new insightful experiences throughout the stay and as an old man I am still telling others on the set of social values on equality and protecting the environment. Northern Lights, Kiruna, Eskilstuna, Skating, Skying, running though the forest trails...what an experience. The never ending Friday Night pub experience and dancing floors filled with friendship, which was quite exceptional when compared to the behavior of your Swedish classmates and room mates, what an incredible student life! in Sweden. So, come and study in Sweden! Enjoy and get exposed to the best of the best knowledge base while being a student of a Swedish University of your desire.

On Babbel there is a very in depth Swedish course because of the demand. I’m curious what is the demand for people to learn Swedish if everyone speaks English, do learners look at it the same way as Esperanto learners look at that language?

Hi, it's also mentioned that salaries can be used as another source of financial support. So for example, if I'm applying for a residence permit starting from September 1st and can prove I have a job contract until then, would those 4 months(assuming I apply today, 1st of May) of salary directly be added to my amount of financial support? As in, the amount I have to show in my personal bank account will be reduced. Thanks!
