Our 5 year old F1 Golden Doodle started having seizures a little over a year ago. They started off barely noticeable but soon grew into grand mal seizures. We have been on Zonisamide for almost a year now. She has been seizure free since she has been on it. We have thankfully had no side effects. I tell people who inquire about becoming a doodle parent to do research. Epilepsy is scary and it is not cheap to treat but she is very very much worth it.

so is it a permanent solution or the dogs would eventually be fine without this kind of leash?

I swear, cats tails have a mind of their own. The cat is just chillin all nonchalant and the tails straight up messing with the dog!!! Good stuff

This is the best video I have seen for the gentle leader. I will definitely start using one. Thank you so much.

I have a feeling the cat runs this household. He seems totally at ease with the dog barking and when he touches his tail, just one quiet miaow is enough to get him to stop. I reckon the dog has been slapped a few times when he’s overstepped the mark…

My goldendoodle is about 1 1/2 years old. She has similar seizures about every 3-4 weeks. I just started her on 750mlg Keppre. I will let you know how it goes. Her neurologist said we may be able to get them to less than 3 a year.

The Gentle Leader is working for my 4 month old Lab. She isn't crazy about it after 1 week but she is getting better. It's a TOOL, not a miracle. (well, almost! :) I HIGHLY recommend it!!! The learning curve for me was to be EXTRA gentle and patient. I was a bit rough with it as first (my bad) and caused a rubbing on her nose. CHANGED IT UP BIG TIME! I learned. I'm teachable and not proud. Her nose is HEALED and I am EXTRA gentle and patient. It's NOT about the MILES or TIME we get done. It's about TEACHING her to ENJOY the WALK and TRAINING me to be calm and assertive. GET ONE! Oh, and follow the instructions on the poster. I only saw the one side. It is two-sided! Hahaha.. The 2nd side would have helped me A LOT! Anyway, study it, go slowly, USE IT! Happy Walking to YOU!

This only reduces my foster dog's pulling and leash reactivity by about 20%, but it's been crucial to starting the training process with her. She's more out of control than any dog I've ever known, and none of my attempts at training made a difference before I got her this harness.

The 2nd time we used this style our dog pulled out of it because we didn't have it tight enough. Thankfully we had a safety strap clipped around his regular collar so he didn't get away. Always use a safety strap.

He shouldn’t be jumping at 5 moths they need to be at least 6 months otherwise it might mess up there growth
@RhettBarkley3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right. After I made this video Rhett made a jump and started limping. That was the end of his jumping days. Fortunately, it only lasted a few seconds and there was no permanent damage. He is 10 years now, a trim 85 pound big dog and he can still zoom around like a puppy. Thanks for watching and the helpful comment.
