@@michellemurphy9071 a parkade is a building with multiple levels for parking, in the states I think they call it a parking garage? Maybe a slight hint of Irish accent, we live in Nova Scotia. 🙂

I love this video Lindsay, just getting to see your young family (but growing fast) enjoying the beautiful sunshine filled Summer Days. How exciting for Jacob to be taking on the responsibility of mowing your moms yard for her, he sure is growing up fast, they all are it seems. Little Emily has really opened up and is such a happy girl, waving goodbye, but what got me was the slurp of her popsicle, it made me want one too, good thing we picked up a box of sugar free popsicles today at the market. We did a bit of shopping at a local market called Aldi, they have really great pricing, we walked out for less than $100 this time and we got meat, eggs, milk and even some essentials for a pasta salad which you inspired me to make. Your breakfast hash looked good, but no eggs for me, my husband would love it though. I actually made a roast beef hash the other night for our supper, used up all the leftover pot roast we had with the potatoes, carrots and onions, it was really delicious. Thanks for sharing your lovely family time with us, it always brings a smile to my face.
@mominthemaritimes2 күн бұрын
@@TheMtggrl Thanks, Tania! Wow, sounds like you got some amazing deals at Aldi. Not very often we get out of a store under $100! Especially with meat and essentials. Life has gotten so expensive. I loved Emily's slurp too!! Those popsicles are Chapman's "Lil Lollys" I think they're low calorie too. Not sure if you guys have that brand or not, but they're good. Emily makes me laugh because she's so aware of when I'm filming... I never have to tell her to say "bye" she just always adds it when she hears me ending a video. She grew up on this channel. Jacob has been enjoying having the responsibility of cutting my mom's grass, and it's so helpful for her! I love that I inspired you to make pasta salad. I've been making it often. Roast beef hash sounds delicious. I love finding new ways to use leftovers! I hope you're having a great week. How are your temps now? Were back down to normal seasonal temps! 😊❤️

Wow Jacob has really grown!!! I loved all your meals and as soon as I finish this comment I am off to find a recipe for cinnamon oat pancakes-they looked divine! That hash brown egg dish looked amazing and I will make that for our supper one of these days-nice that it was all one pot. I put my bacon in the oven as well but I broil mine and flip it half way and it seemed yours was easier so next time I'll bake at 400 instead. Thanks for sharing your lovely summer days with the kids. Beach had lots of waves-those are so much fun.

We do a lot of grilling out and then make a big salad in the summer. So, no heating up the kitchen. Although, since we installed heat pumps in our house, we have air conditioning. It's so nice! Before that we just had a window air conditioner in our bedroom for those few nights that it got really hot. But I've noticed that the summer temps on the Island have been increasing over the years to where you now need air conditioning a lot more often.

I am with Audrey. I'm not King's Hawaiian fan. I mean if one is after something sweet fine but the obsession with them for sliders and sandwiches I don't understand. I don't want sweet bread for such or with my Easter ham and mashed potatoes and gravy, etc. Tried it. NOPE. Yuck. Could I eat them separately as something sweet later? Sure. To me though they do not go with meats, cheeses, sauces, and so on. And then they are ridiculously overpriced these days. You know I love TX Roadhouse rolls and what I think is cinnamon honey butter. But before the meal and separate. No way do I want them with my steak, salad or potato. So I get her refined taste :) Or those that lack such lol. All in good fun. I'd take a yeast dinner roll any day WITH a meal or to make a sandwich over a Kng's.
