Traore, but don’t know to what extent. I’m hopeful that in a better spot, he can be more efficient. Manhattan has had 3 coaches in 3 years and had roster experience in the 300’s. Not a good situation in the super senior era. I guess we’ll see whether that was holding him back or if he’s just not that good offensively.

I love the highlights I've seen of Jason Jackstys. He takes it to the hole and slams it home. He has quick ups. Wish he wasn't red shirting. The only reason I see for him doing that is he needs to put on some muscle but other than that, I'd say he looks as ready to play in the post or even on the wing as much as anyone on this team. Not a skills issue with him as far as I can see. He probably is a long term program guy though, like Ty and DGL, so I guess I understand him red shirting from that perspective, because he wants to make sure that when he finally plays, he is a main guy, but one who hasn't lost any a year just riding the bench, but from the clips I've seen, he wouldn't be riding the bench, not if I were coach.

No faith that Woodson will have this team ready to play at the beginning of the season. If IU starts two post players, then they will not be playing in the NCAA tournament. Goode must play at least 25 minutes per game. If Cupps plays, then he must make three point shots.

KJ won’t be around next year. But this season a starting backcourt of KJ & Boswell will challenge for best in the B10. Next year Boswell & DGL will be right back up there again. Jackstys will be a decent RS Freshman next season too. Boswell will be the starting PG, KJ will the be starting 2, but it’ll be just like having two starting PGs. Except one of them will have SG size.

A lot of these freshman mins will depend on how well Furst and Berg play. If those guys start the season well, I could see two or three of the 5 freshman red shirting by the deadline. If they don't then Burgess is the only likely candidate for Redshirt. I think Harris will play ~20 mins this year as he becomes the primary backup to Smith and Loyer.
@FeedthePost19 күн бұрын
I think 2 freshmen do probably redshirt. My guess would be Benter + Burgess
@PurdueFansAnon20 күн бұрын
I think I’m unreasonably high on Jack Benter. It doesn’t seem like he’ll get on the court much as a freshman, but I feel like he’s as good of a pure shot maker as we’ve seen in some time. (And he’s not a bad passer either)
@FeedthePost19 күн бұрын

Which freshman will make the biggest impact for Purdue this season?
@ripsett663820 күн бұрын
After listening to his interview with Brian, I’m thinking Harris. I said my way too early take is that he puts a little pressure on Fletch with his ball handling, defense, and athleticism.
@FeedthePost20 күн бұрын
I lean Harris for mine as well. I think he ends up being the true backup point guard and getting some time at the 2

@@FeedthePost I'm really curious how the minutes are going to shake out this year. They have the personnel to run big or small, and whichever Painter leans towards will probably determine which Freshmen will have the most impactful year. Great content as always brother, you are very appreciated.
@FeedthePost20 күн бұрын
Thanks! And I agree, ultimately how many minutes TKR plays at the 4 and 5 will go a long way in how this team plays
@ripsett663820 күн бұрын
@@FeedthePost Heide at the 4 (something I've heard bounced around, but don't know if there's any legitimacy to it) could also make an impact as well. While probably not ideal in terms of bench personnel, starting TK, Heide, Colvin, Fletch, and Braden is definitely an intriguing idea, and puts a lot of talent on the floor.

Who will make the biggest impact out of the newcomers group for MSU?
@markpennell610225 күн бұрын
Jesse was measured at 6'11 234 on his visit last summer to MSU. He talked about it in an interview while watching Moneyball during the visit and you could also see that it was true when they showed him on the court talking to 6'11 Xavier Booker and 6'11 Carson Cooper before and after the games.
@FeedthePost25 күн бұрын
I’ve heard this as well although everything still listed him as 6’9 last season. Getting to 6’11 and having more true size to be a 5 I think would be big for him
