I am a 63 year old lefty,when I was in school there was no special writing instruction for lefties , I had to learn a technique that worked for me much like you are recommending, and learned to write as well or better than my right handed classmates,I also learned to use right hand scissor s,as there were few lefty scissors available,I learned to use either orientation but still prefer right,although I still use my left hand. I don't write as well now as I did in school as I don't do it as much,and as life goes on we lower our standards to just make it readable and get on with other things and not worry about making it pretty,although I think I still could if I took my time,I could still write pretty as we all could,lefty or righties,I have learned to adapt,as a lefty in a right dominated world,and sometimes it is an advantage,sometimes not so much,a lot of things have changed,I am a lefty guitarist,and now buy lefty guitars instead of trying to rebuild a right guitar to left,or learning right handed,some can do this,and God bless them,I can use a right hand circular saw with either hand,but would feel safer with a left hand saw,most hand tools such as wrenches,screwdrivers I can use fairly well with either hand,I don't think lefties are necessarily smarter than right handers,but we are at least equally capable,and we are definitely adaptable,because we have had too in so many ways

This is a point in time only. This is their problem not your child’s. Your child will grow up to be creative, big picture thinker, talented in spirit and thought, highly intelligent, a financially successful. They will still be stuck in thinking like a right hander and non of those things that I’ve mentioned. Right handers are a dime a dozen. There are millions of them. Not so with left handers.
