Hello, who's this? It's the plumber. Don't call my house anymore, you motherfucker. This band played at the Avalon night club. About 400 people were at the show. The jam was excellent. The rock and roll was kicking a camel's ass. The Geltones The Geltones The Geltones The Geltones The band played it on. The band got down like a magikist. The crowd roared like a lion in the zoo. The rock and roll was whipping a mule's ass. The Geltones The Geltones The Geltones The Geltones The show was over like daddy-o A lot of people left the band The rock show was a hit record It was a smash hit The Geltones The Geltones The Geltones The Geltones Rock over London Rock on, Chicago KFC, we do chicken right

My ex and I had pretty similar tastes in music for the most part, but unlike most of the bands/artists I would put on from time to time, she really did not dig Wesley Willis (to put it mildly). I don't think she really minded most of Wes' mellower material (the celebrity tributes, his surrealist work, etc.) - she just never really understood why I found it so compelling, and hearing the same backing tracks over and over got on her nerves a bit. What she absolutely **hated** were the animal songs, and this one in particular, maybe in part because it was the first one I played when she was within earshot. I distinctly remember the speed at which her face shifted from a neutral expression to one of sheer revulsion after hearing Wesley shriek his opening directive to "𝘚𝘜𝘊𝘒 𝘈 𝘓𝘓𝘈𝘔𝘈'𝘚 𝙍𝘼𝙒 𝑫𝑰𝑪𝑲!". Halfway through the first chorus, she turned to me from across the room and told me, in a half-stern and half-pleading voice, that "this is the most horrible shit [she'd] ever heard in [her] life" and that I'd better turn it off immediately if I ever wanted to feel her touch again. I didn't feel like calling her bluff in the moment, but I did periodically slip "Suck a Cheetah's Dick" and "Taste a Mountain Goat's Ass" into my playlists in the future to keep her on her toes. In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't be surprised she dumped me, but the visceral effect those songs had on her was just too goddamn funny - as soon as that familiar bleating keyboard line hit her eardrums, she'd instantly react as if someone had started chopping up her parents with a chainsaw in front of her. Rest in peace Wes, may your unique and wonderful music continue to torture girlfriends across the world for decades to come.
